2. In terms of graphics, conventional elements of this
website’s homepage include a capitalized font used
for the band’s title, as well as links that lead to each
one of the website’s functions (a subpage that
focuses on tour gigs, one that focuses on the kind of
music the band play, and one through which
audiences can purchase merchandise). Audio-visually
speaking, the website also includes a link (as part of
the contents) that leads to videos of the band playing
so that the audience have an idea of the kind of
performance they would play if they were to
purchase tickets to see them live.

3. There are two ways in which the
conventional elements of this particular
website are reflective of those that will in
appear in mine – firstly the social media
links that allow audiences to find the
band and follow their work through other
means and services, and secondly the
logo. This band’s logo is simple but eye-
catching and it suits the website’s
‘homemade’ and authentic aesthetic and
house style with the name of the band
almost scribbled down accompanied by a
poorly cut piece of paper.

graphics filling the entire screen and links to subpages (including tour dates, social
media sites, a news page, and a shop) surrounding the outside of it. These
subpages are conventional, but what the website lacks is audiovisual content –
there are no music videos or promotional clips that would act as a secondary
conventional component.
