Dr. David Asirvatham is currently the Head for the School of Computing and IT, Taylor’s University. Prior to this, he was
the Director for the Centre of Information Technology at University of Malaya. He has held numerous posts such as the

Azhan joined PADU in December 2015 and is currently the Director Information Technology. He has over 21 years of HR and
IT experience in the Financial Sector.Over his extensive career, he has held positions in HR Information Technology and
Shared Services. He has had solid system implementation experience having led the implementation of Peoplesoft HRMS
for Ambank Group and various data and system integration projects. His areas of strength includes process automation and
data integration. Before joining PADU he held the position of Acting Head HR Shared Service and during that tenure he rolled

Director, Workforce Planning and Digital Learning and Founding Librarian
Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
Julie has rich experiences from public, private and academic sectors. She was instrumental in the landmark Library 2000
study that shaped transformation of libraries in Singapore. She participated in various national plans such IT2000, ICT21,
and Renaissance City. She spearheaded the first national digital library initiative. She helped establish, manage information
and research services in various organisations. Julie obtained her Masters in Information Studies from Loughborough
University of Technology.
DR LIM SOK MUI, MAY
Director, Centre for Learning Environment and Assessment Development (CoLEAD)
Singapore Institute of Technology
Dr May Lim is an Associate Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). May is the Director of the Centre for
Learning Environment and Assessment Development (CoLEAD) that looks after the faculty development programmes in
learning and teaching at the university level. She won the university Teaching Excellence Award in 2016. May is an
experienced occupational therapist by profession, she has been working with children with developmental delay and
disorders in Singapore and Australia. She also led the Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Occupational Therapy
degree at SIT. She has received teaching grant from Ministry of Education to investigate the effect of experiential
learning to improve student’s communication and empathy through learning from people with disabilities. She is currently
actively researching on effectiveness of active learning space, as well as student’s learning journey from freshmen to
graduates.

Zaidi Yazid’s main responsibility is to provide educational technology support for 10198 schools throughout the country.
Among others, the support include ICT facilities, learning content and platform, Netware and technology adaptation
training. Born and raised in Kelantan, he had his primary schooling in Kedah and secondary in Negeri Sembilan before
pursuing tertiary education in USA in 1978. Part of his post graduate studies were in USA and UK. His special interest is in
enhancing talent and potential among children. As a qualified school teacher by profession, he taught at different school
levels in Johor, Terengganu and Kelantan before being given the tasks in project management at MoE, and later education
management at several institutions including as director at 3 Matriculation Colleges. The biggest challenges were managing
massive transformation projects including Smarts School implementation, PPSMI, School Computer Lab and BestariNet.
6. DR MICHAEL JAMES KEPPELL

Michael leads the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Teaching portfolio that is focused on driving curriculum transformation,
learning, teaching and assessment at the University. He also leads the Integrated Teaching and Life-long Learning Centre
at Taylor’s (INTELLECT) that is focused on the provision holistic teaching and learning experiences for staff and students.

National Library of Malaysia for 28 years in various departments such as Digital Library Services, Documentation
(cataloguing/metadata), Collection Development and Project National Digital Library Project and the National Data
Dictionary for Public Sector. She is currently a Council Member of Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia (PPM) and CONSAL XVI
Executive Board Member. She has been actively involved in the development of libraries in Malaysia and has presented
papers in local and international conferences.
SUMITRA NAIR

Sumitra’s key mandate is to ensure that Malaysian youths are equipped with the necessary digital competencies for the

innovation such as from Malaysian Technology Expo and Innovation Technology Expo. Appointed by the Ministry of Higher

Malaysia's premier Applied Research and Development Centre in Information and Communications Technology, Industrial
