1. • A Role represents a group of users who share similar job functions
and responsibilities.
• Administrators have complete access to the Role screens; non-admin
user are limited, based on permissions. All users who work with Role
screens must have the Role item on their Menu.
• A role name must be unique, consisting of only letters, numbers and
spaces.
Scenario: Create a Role

2. Locate Menu Item
2Role Create menu item will only display for Administrators and users with special permissions and appropriate
menu assigned (bottom screen).

3. Create Role
3Role Name must be unique from other roles names already being used in CMPRO. Fields highlighted in yellow
are required fields in CMPRO (top screen).
The Role Detail screen displays upon creation of Role, confirming action (bottom screen).

4. Add Users to Role
4Repeat Steps 1 – 4 for each user to be added. Complete Step 5 when finished adding users.
For Step 1, you can also select from list of users presented when screen first displays (not shown here). Can
simultaneously add multiple users from list.

5. Role Created with User(s) Added
5Role Detail screen will display users as they are added to the Role.
Users assigned to a role inherit the Permissions that role has been granted for a particular CMPRO module.
