Editor's Notes
Gathering evidence and promoting the value of CILIP qualifications to members, employers, the wider profession and providing members with the tools to do so tooRemoving bureaucracy and barriers to make qualifications more accessible to members and potential members Broadening the appeal and relevancy of CILIP qualifications to encourage more members to participate and more employers to encourage staff to participate Providing clearer guidance and information for candidates and those that support them so that they can understand the process and requirementsProviding clarity to those progressing from Certification to Chartership by establishing greater differentiation between the two qualifications and what candidates are being asked to demonstrate Developing clearer assessment criteria so that candidates (and those that support them) understand what we are looking for and whyLooking into alternative methods for delivering and assessing revalidation which will encourage more members to record and reflect on their CPD Enabling members to submit their application online via the new Virtual Learning Environment. This will provide members with greater opportunities to submit different kinds of evidence and be more creative with their portfolio.Improving communications, information, advice, networking opportunities, and training for Candidate Support Officers and Mentors so that they are better able to support candidates.
