Knowledge is a term used by many, but understood by few. Some individuals consider knowledge as gaining information and creating a strong
understanding involving certain topics; however, others may argue that being "knowledgeable" is something that is gained through having experienced
the joys and hardships of life. Before taking the Theory of Knowledge class, never had I taken the time to evaluate and speculate past the
stereotypical definitions; I did not have a clear understanding of what knowledge signified. Conveniently, since the Theory of Knowledge class has
begun, I now understand that knowledge has never been something that has remained constant. Knowledge is morphed and constructed through
previous ideas and facts; as individuals, we continue to shape knowledge to the best of our abilities. Not only is knowledge constantly being
manipulated, but also there are also multiple interpretations of knowledge. Some of the ways knowledge is explained and can be acquired is through
perception, logical reasoning, and authority. In order to accurately analyze myself as a knower, I find it only fair to assess a few of the aspects of
knowledge.
I believe that perception is absolute I believe that perception is not absolute; we are always unknowingly using our senses to gain knowledge, and our

If the statement "Knowledge is Power" is correct, then Franklin County has a power outage. Unlike an actual power outage, the solution to this type of

In the real world, the power of knowledge has a real affect on human nature as it gives them a sense of the world and its surroundings. Knowledge is
facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education. They are known to create separation between people, the smartest
usually coming atop. While the monster and Victor's adventures are told, the power ofknowledge in Shelley's Frankenstein are a big influence into the
advancements of their actions and plot of the story because it gives a new outlook for them. In the beginning of the book, Frankenstein talks to his
professor about his interests in science. The professor tells Frankenstein the wonders of science, and how it has affected the world. "The ancient...show

Later on, the monster looks back on how he has changed and how much he has learned. "Increase of knowledge only discovered to me more
clearly what a wretched outcast I was. I cherished hope, it is true; but it vanished when I beheld my person reflected in water, or my shadow in the
moonshine, even as that frail image and that inconstant shade" (133). In this quote, the monster explains that as he gained more knowledge, it
made him feel even worst and feel more like an outcast. After his loss of innocence through the power of knowledge, he couldn't look at himself
the same way as before. The power of knowledge has also affected Victor in a negative way. Ever since Victor was a child, he had always been
interested in science. As he got older, he got even more interested in specific topics within natural philosophy, particularly the human body. After his
talk with his professor, he believed he could create an animate object from an inanimate object, in which this case the object turned into a monster.
"My labours would soon end, and I believed that exercise and amusement would then drive away incipient disease; and I promised myself both of
these when my creation should be complete" (57). Victor has put a lot of effort into learning the anatomy of a human body and pursues the creation of
one, yet he doesn't realize how small the margin of error would be. Later on in the book, the monster demands Victor to create a
