6. Over Afrika
Area 30,221,532 km2
Population 1.1 billion[1] (2013, 2nd)
Countries 54 (and 2 disputed)
Afri was a Latin name used to refer to the Carthaginians, who dwelt in North Africa
in modern-day Tunisia. This name seems to have originally referred to a native
Libyan tribe; however, see Terence#Biography for discussion. The name is usually
connected with Phoenician afar, "dust“
The African Union (AU) is a 54-member federation consisting of all of Africa's
states except Morocco.
The African Union, not to be confused with the AU Commission, transform the
African Economic Community, a federated commonwealth, into a state under
established international conventions.
7. Over Afrika
Afrikaanse economie groeit 4,5% in 2015
In
handelspartner is.

9. Afrika en logistiek
Grote verschillen per regio
Slechte wegcondities
Nog slechtere rail condities
Niet genoeg havens
Luchthavens:
- Security issue
- Geen hub-spoke
11. Ghana algemeen
26 miljoen inwoners, 239.000 km2 in oppervlakte, GDP per capita $ 1.622,-
Annual GDP growth averaging 10.3% between 2010 and 2012, and forecast to
average 5.9% between 2012 and 2017: Ghana is among the world’s fastest-growing
countries and a rising star in Africa
Reputation and position to be known as a safe gateway to West Africa and an ideal
point of arrival for newcomers to Africa
olieveld in productie genomen.
12. Ghana logistiek
Ghana is rated 108th out of 155 countries on
the Logistics Performance Index 2012
Important weaknesses remain in infrastructure,
timeliness and tracking and tracing
Efficiency of Ghana’s customs clearance
procedures is not exceptional but has improved
consistently since 2007
Unlike in many other African countries, Ghana’s
infrastructure backbone covers the entire
national territory and helps to integrate its
different regions
Much of the transport investment is being
funded and developed by Chinese companies

21. Nigeria algemeen
175 miljoen mensen, 924.000 km2, GDP per capita $ 1.640,-
The IMF expects Nigeria to be one of the world’s fastest-growing economies
over the 2011-15 period
A lot of companies expanding into West Africa see Nigeria as a gateway to the
region, even before Ghana.
For external trade earnings Nigeria is highly dependent on domestic crude oil
production levels and the international oil price.
The business environment in Nigeria remains very challenging. Starting a new
business is a time consuming and cumbersome process.
22. Huidige situatie in Nigeria is onrustig

23. Nigeria Logistiek
Nigeria has relatively advanced
infrastructure networks
Investments in airports and
ports
Completing unfinished projects
would further accelerate
infrastructure upgrades
Today, Nigeria is well served by
air transport, with sufficient
competition to offer competitive
fares in the domestic market
Nigeria’s railway network is
vastly underutilised.

26. Senegal algemeen
13 miljoen inwoners, 14 miljoen km2, GDP per capita $ 14.600,- (gemiddeld 4 x zo
hoog dan andere landen in West Afrika)
The oil sector now accounts for 50% of GDP and 80% of exports.
Weaknesses: lack of diversity in the Gabonese economy. Various factors have so
far stymied additional industries—a small market of about 1 million people,
dependence on French imports, inability to capitalize on regional markets, lack of
entrepreneurial zeal among the Gabonese, and the fairly regular stream of oil
"rent". Further investment in agricultural or tourism sectors is complicated by poor
infrastructure.
27. Senegal logistiek
Afrika
Senegal is an emerging hub and a major player in international air transportation in
West Africa ranking only second to Nigeria. Dakar is de hub for the sub-region.
Senegal has a very thin domestic air transport market
28. Senegal export en import
Top 5 Products exported by Senegal Refined

30. Gabon algemeen
stad is Libreville.
landen in Afrika gemaakt.
31. Gabon logistiek
32. Gabon export en import
Top 5 Products exported by Gabon Crude Petroleum (84%), Manganese
Ore (8.6%), Sawn Wood (2.2%), Refined
