associated with each area.
▪ Product Type Scope – what product types to include
▪ Balance of the business value provided by each area versus the effort / distraction that adding another product type will require
▪ Functionality & Integration Scope – what modules of PLM to implement by
phase
▪ Is the functionality based on an existing process and organization or are the processes and organization new or drastically will
change?
▪ Are the skill sets already available to take advantage of the new tool?
▪ Business Unit Scope – which business units will be used for the pilot group
▪ Which brands and departments of the business are closest to the vision?
▪ Do the businesses have the skill sets needed to take advantage of the new processes and tools?
▪ How aligned are the businesses in terms of organization and process? How much effort is required to gain consistency where
possible and what are the businesses drivers for differences?
