2. What was the research
requirement?
A reputed consumer technology company was looking
to upgrade to a robust and user-friendly panel
management software with cutting-edge survey
functionality and comprehensive panel management
tools, to manage their proprietary research panel.

3. The particulars of the project?
The client wanted a tool to provide flexibility and the
required scalability to build and manage a larger
panel spanning a wide range of segments
Development of intuitive panel health reporting and
Web 2.0 portal and mobile apps
Automating several sample and panel management
processes, such as the shift from manual disbursement
of incentives to an automated incentivization process
Data migration of approx. 70K panellists in a time
bound fashion
A system was to be made available to them (up &
running) within a very aggressive time frame

4. Borderless Access proposed indigenously built technology
platform - ‘SmartSight’ that has built-in features to address
the client’s challenges on control, flexibility, scalability ,
customizations and automation.
Our team designed the panel portal and mobile apps from
scratch. Panel portal was coupled with a content
management system to allow DIY updates for the client.
A comprehensive panel health reporting suite was setup to
enable the client to monitor response rates, costs, panel
health and project metrics in real-time.

5. Outcome
The transition of the technology and migration of
the panelist database was completed within the
permissible timelines with the client showing a
significant ‘upside’ in terms of data quality of their
panel database.
