Editor's Notes
LinkedIn has 300 million users. In 2013, LinkedIn updated their terms of service with regard to minimum age. In the US, the minimum age to have a LinkedIn account is 14 years of age. 79% of LinkedIn users are 35 years and older. The average user is 40.5 years old.
I’ll throw this one over to Christy about what’s most important to her in increasing her InMail rate. Perri will weigh in here about research and how it can help elevate not only your response rate but your overall relationship with your candidate and hiring manager.
Perri will discuss how extensive research along with connecting on multiple channels is so important. She can mention how her technology is used to help make sourcing and research better to collect information on groups or individuals allowing you to better connect and customize the messaging.
Christy will talk a bit about this. I’m certain that Perri will also weigh in here.
These are just talking points for folks to look at. We can talk about whatever we want. I want to focus on limiting your messaging here and asking for referrals from those you have an established relationship or believe are influencers or connected in the space. Personally, this is where I pick up the phone and call versus an email.
Some examples of a referral email that I think does pretty well. Perri and Christy can weigh in with their suggestions here.
I will introduce this secret and Perri will discuss how it has helped her establish more solid connections as a recruiter, as a startup and in business in general. Twitter is more interactive and engaging than LinkedIn meaning that when you connect or tweet someone directly on Twitter, they are more likely to read and respond to you via Twitter or to your InMail.
These are the template examples that Christy provided. Feel free to weigh in here.
These are templates that Christy provided which I will discuss. Feel free to weigh in here.
Jessica will begin to talk on this slide and I will have both Christy and Perri to weigh in. While we will discuss information, that LI has provided, we can also share some thoughts on our personal experience without giving away the 5 secrets of increasing your InMail response rates on LinkedIn.
