1. FRONTRUNNER PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY
Autumn 2012 and Spring 2013 Terms
Three placements of 8 hours/week each, term time only
TESTA project frontrunner FR1213030
The placement offers the opportunity to work on a Higher Education Academy
(HEA) Change Programme on assessment and feedback (Transforming the
Experience of Students through Assessment - TESTA) and provide student input
to the project. The core project team is led by the Dean of Science and
Engineering with other members of staff from the across the Faculty. The
Frontrunners will be hosted in the School of Health and Human Sciences and
line-managed by the Dean of Science and Engineering (Pevalin) and/or the
Associate Dean (Robinson).
Although the project is being run from the Science and Engineering Faculty, we
welcome applications from students across the whole university.

Main duties of the frontrunners will be:
Working with academic and administrative staff to facilitate data
collection on assessment and feedback.
Gather information and data from students following the TESTA
methodology (questionnaires and focus groups) and guided by the core
project team.
Working together with the core project team and the other
Frontrunners in the team to assess and analyse the data following the
TESTA methodology and guided by the core team.
Drafting reports for consideration by the core project team and course
staff.
Working with the core project team to evaluate the courses assessment
and feedback in conjunction with the course staff.
