B
Bill Kyser, The Kyser Group, #510, Corporate Center, 110 East Broward Blvd., FLL 33301 954-290-2920
Bill Kyser has over 45 years of experience and expertise in four vocations—as a personal performance
coach, a technical rescue specialist, an emergency paramedic, and tactical trainer. Throughout each
career path, Bill recognized a critical need for providing health & fitness programs that would empower
and motivate individuals, teams, and corporations to embrace healthy lifestyles in order to reach a higher
state of health, greater productivity, and more resilient careers. Whether as a corporate health consultant
for Fortune 500 companies, or as a tactical specialist working with our military, police, and fire rescue
agencies in high threat areas & crime-dense populations, Bill realized that regardless of the job or
mission, everyone benefits having sound fitness regimens, mental coping skills, and proven stress
management strategies in order to have a higher quality of life and longer, more rewarding careers.
Bill’s career path began with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam during 1971-72; he was initially a Sentry
Dog Handler assigned to USAF commando teams patrolling base perimeters. On assignment at DaNang
Airbase, Bill volunteered for and served with USAF 37th ARRS/Pararescue Squadron for combat search
and rescue. Gaining paramedical skills, after active duty Bill joined the civilian service as an ocean
lifeguard, fire rescue paramedic, and commercial deep sea rescue diver. In that capacity he assisted in
the creation of the National Association Diver Medical Technicians. In 1983, as a Firefighter/Paramedic
with the Pompano Beach Fire Department, Bill created, trained, and led Florida’s first High Elevation
Rescue Team. In 1992, at the request of the USAF 301st PARARESCUE Squadron, Bill assisted in the
development of both aspiring PJs as well as training techniques critical to the specialized nature of their
combat search & rescue missions. Due to a severe injury, Bill’s career path changed dramatically in
1984 from being a professional rescuer to professional fitness coach, and he continues to support the
tactical operators of our military, fire rescue, private security, and law enforcement communities with
his unique proven training regimens, and has been recognized by these American heroes as having
helped them achieve higher performance levels, fewer injuries, and longer career paths.
In 1996, Bill was honored to be recognized by Fitness Institute International as their Inaugural Personal
Trainer of the Year. In addition to collegiate, military, and vocational certifications, Bill has held
certifications with the American College of Sports Medicine, Fitness Institute International, and the
American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals.
Since 1998, Bill has also focused on developing safe, unique, and successful personal and corporate
health & fitness programs for such companies as Republic, AutoNation, and McKinsey & Co. He has
created wellness programs for conferences, conducted custom team building events, and led executives,
their management teams , and their families on adventure expeditions to remote areas of America, Costa
Rica, & New Zealand. One notable expedition involved training & leading twenty executives throughout
the wilds of Costa Rica on an extreme adventure vacation, now known worldwide as the Special Forces
Training Academy JungleMan Expedition.
Bill is an avid reader, writer, and mentor to at risk youth, physically challenged athletes, and combat
veterans. He enjoys ocean freediving, mountain biking, and spearfishing. Bill currently resides in South
Florida, continues his personal, corporate, and team training at his private facility in Ft. Lauderdale, and
enjoys time with his sons Josh & Jordan & his young grandchildren Keira Juliana & Carson James.
