Software design is a process through which requirements are translated into a â blueprint for constructing the software. Initially, the blueprint shows how the software will look and what kind of data or components will be required to in making it. The software is divided into separately named components, often called âMODULESâ, that are used to detect problems at ease. This follows the "DIVIDE AND CONQUER" conclusion. It's easier to solve a complex problem when you break it into manageable pieces.

Software testing is the process of verifying and then confirming that a software application or product performs as expected or not. Testing has its own set of advantages like bug prevention, lower costs of development, and comparatively better performance. The software cannot be said to be bug-free from the start. Therefore, software developers might strive to write code that will reduce the number and severity of flaws that are already there. However, the majority of bugs are latent and only emerge when the conditions are right.

As the course progresses, your understanding of these questions will increase. For this assignment, answer these questions about the scenario you selected in Milestone One to address the following: I. Scenario Select one (1) of the scenarios and answer the following questions. A. Identify the ethical dilemma raised by the facts and explain what the ethical dilemma is. B. What makes this dilemma ethical? What ethics does this dilemma challenge? C. Describe the factors that led to the dilemma. How can these factors inform your course of action? D. What implications should be considered when determining your course of action? Why? Guidelines for Submission: Your case study ethical analysis needs to be 1â2 pages in length, double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font, and follow APA guidelines. Critical Elements Exemplary (100%) Proficient (85%) Needs Improvement (55%) Not Evident (0%) Value Scenario: Ethical Dilemma Meets âProficientâ criteria and is well qualified with concrete examples Identifies the ethical dilemma raised by the facts, and explains what the ethical dilemma is Identifies the ethical dilemma raised by the facts, but does not explain what the ethical dilemma is Does not identify the ethical dilemma raised by the facts 20 Scenario: Ethical Meets âProficientâ criteria and demonstrates a nuanced understanding of ethical implications Determines what makes the dilemma ethical and what ethics it challenges Determines what makes the dilemma ethical, but does not address what ethics it challenges Does not determine what makes the dilemma ethical 20 Scenario: Factors Meets âProficientâ criteria and describes specific instances where factors can inform the course of action Describes factors that led to the dilemma, and how factors can inform a course of action Describes factors that led to the dilemma, but does not address how factors can inform a course of action Does not describe factors that led to the dilemma 20 Scenario: Implications Meets âProficientâ criteria and supports response with specific examples Identifies implications that should be considered when determining a course of action, and defends response Identifies implications that should be considered when determining a course of action, but does not defend response Does not identify implications that should be considered when determining a course of action 20 Articulation of Response Submission is free of errors related to citations, grammar, spelling, syntax, and organization and is presented in a professional and easy-to-read format Submission has no major errors related to citations, grammar, spelling, syntax, or organization Submission has major error ...

Modern gadgets and machines such as medical equipments, mobile phones, cars and even military hardware run on software. The operational efficiency and accuracy of these machines are critical to life and the well being of modern civilization. When the software powering these machines fail it exposes life to danger and can cause the failure of businesses. In this paper, software quality measure is presented with the emphasis on improving standard and controlling damages that may result from badly developed application. The research shows various software quality standards and quality metrics and how they can be applied. The application of the metrics in measuring software quality in the research produced results which shows that the code metrics performance is better than the design metrics performance and points to a new way of improving quality by refactoring application code instead of developing new designs. This is believed to ensure reusability and reduced failure rate when software is developed

The Raspberry Pi 5 was announced on October 2023. This new version of the popular embedded device comes with a new iteration of Broadcomâs VideoCore GPU platform, and was released with a fully open source driver stack, developed by Igalia. The presentation will discuss some of the major changes required to support this new Video Core iteration, the challenges we faced in the process and the solutions we provided in order to deliver conformant OpenGL ES and Vulkan drivers. The talk will also cover the next steps for the open source Raspberry Pi 5 graphics stack. Sara Mae OâBrien Scott and Tatiana Baquero Cakici, Senior Consultants at Enterprise Knowledge (EK), presented âAI Fast Track to Search-Focused AI Solutionsâ at the Information Architecture Conference (IAC24) that took place on April 11, 2024 in Seattle, WA. In their presentation, OâBrien-Scott and Cakici focused on what Enterprise AI is, why it is important, and what it takes to empower organizations to get started on a search-based AI journey and stay on track. The presentation explored the complexities of enterprise search challenges and how IA principles can be leveraged to provide AI solutions through the use of a semantic layer. OâBrien-Scott and Cakici showcased a case study where a taxonomy, an ontology, and a knowledge graph were used to structure content at a healthcare workforce solutions organization, providing personalized content recommendations and increasing content findability. In this session, participants gained insights about the following: Most common types of AI categories and use cases; Recommended steps to design and implement taxonomies and ontologies, ensuring they evolve effectively and support the organizationâs search objectives; Taxonomy and ontology design considerations and best practices; Real-world AI applications that illustrated the value of taxonomies, ontologies, and knowledge graphs; and Tools, roles, and skills to design and implement AI-powered search solutions.

Heather Hedden, Senior Consultant at Enterprise Knowledge, presented âThe Role of Taxonomy and Ontology in Semantic Layersâ at a webinar hosted by Progress Semaphore on April 16, 2024. Taxonomies at their core enable effective tagging and retrieval of content, and combined with ontologies they extend to the management and understanding of related data. There are even greater benefits of taxonomies and ontologies to enhance your enterprise information architecture when applying them to a semantic layer. A survey by DBP-Institute found that enterprises using a semantic layer see their business outcomes improve by four times, while reducing their data and analytics costs. Extending taxonomies to a semantic layer can be a game-changing solution, allowing you to connect information silos, alleviate knowledge gaps, and derive new insights. Hedden, who specializes in taxonomy design and implementation, presented how the value of taxonomies shouldnât reside in silos but be integrated with ontologies into a semantic layer. Learn about: - The essence and purpose of taxonomies and ontologies in information and knowledge management; - Advantages of semantic layers leveraging organizational taxonomies; and - Components and approaches to creating a semantic layer, including the integration of taxonomies and ontologies

Enterprise Knowledgeâs Urmi Majumder, Principal Data Architecture Consultant, and Fernando Aguilar Islas, Senior Data Science Consultant, presented "Driving Behavioral Change for Information Management through Data-Driven Green Strategy" on March 27, 2024 at Enterprise Data World (EDW) in Orlando, Florida. In this presentation, Urmi and Fernando discussed a case study describing how the information management division in a large supply chain organization drove user behavior change through awareness of the carbon footprint of their duplicated and near-duplicated content, identified via advanced data analytics. Check out their presentation to gain valuable perspectives on utilizing data-driven strategies to influence positive behavioral shifts and support sustainability initiatives within your organization. In this session, participants gained answers to the following questions: - What is a Green Information Management (IM) Strategy, and why should you have one? - How can Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) support your Green IM Strategy through content deduplication? - How can an organization use insights into their data to influence employee behavior for IM? - How can you reap additional benefits from content reduction that go beyond Green IM?
