SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Resourceful, innovative professional with over 20 years General Management, Quality Assurance and
Program Management experience primarily in the services industry. Held P&L responsibilities. Expertise
in initiating projects that boost productivity and efficiency while enhancing the customer experience. A
true Hands-on Manager with proven skills in troubleshooting, organization, training/coaching, strategic
planning, development, and improving operations through policies that promote a team-based work
atmosphere, creative thinking, superior client services and a positive effect for the organizational bottom
line.
SELECTED RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Managed all aspects of an organizational region including recruitment, hiring and training of staff,
budgeting, P&L, scheduling work and activities, establishing policies and procedures,
procurement of equipment and supplies, performance evaluations, client relations and motivation
of employees.
• Increased participation capabilities by partnering with a YMCA to utilize available space for a
needed program. Designed the work area, cubicles and reception area in the space provided.
Ordered office equipment and supplies, assigned personnel, and completed the project within 8-
weeks.
• Increased productivity and opportunities for training while decreasing costs through research into
an on-line registration application. Evaluated a number of possible contenders, and chose one
best for our type of programs. The application freed up the need for an office person to take
phone call registrations, provided a detailed list of registrants, and removed the need to collect
registration fees.
• Enhanced morale through promotion of a team-based work atmosphere. Provided assignments
of increased responsibility along with opportunities for additional training and challenging
performance incentives that encouraged a sense of ownership in the overall operation.
• Boosted quality assurance compliance through review of the quality audit and reporting program.
Interviewed employees of each stage and implemented a new standard operating procedure that
ensured areas found out of compliance received a work order and track of actions taken to its
completion.
• Took-on the accreditation of a child care center under my management by the National
Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Learned all requirements and prepared a
timeline for project completion. Trained my staff in the process, involved parents and put in place
a system for gathering the needed criteria documentation. This center became the 1
st
in Pinellas
County to receive this accreditation.
• Improved understanding and productivity through research into best practices and initiation of a
new week-long on-boarding process for all staff. This new program acclimated both new and
current employees to company operations, services and expectations, which became even more
important as the staff increased from 35 t0 100.
• Pioneered the use of tuition assistance at the organization to help child care staff meet
educational requirements. Partnered with Saint Petersburg College to develop an application and
selection process and then brought this information to our budget committee. Successfully
implemented a scholarship program for over 50 students each semester, allowing them to obtain
an AS Degree.

• Observed classrooms on a regular basis for compliance regarding NAC Accreditation.
Developed an observation sheet summary that was discussed with the classroom staff to create a
plan of action if any improvements were required. Changes made allowed the center to submit
for NAC Accreditation.
• Took-on the organizations desire to contract out a number of services. Determined the process
for management oversight and created a contract oversight checklist to monitor each site where
contracted services were used. Succeeded in bringing all organizations sites into contract
compliance.
• Conducted performance evaluations on all staff supervised. Provided ongoing feedback in
conjunction with a professional development plan for each individual to achieve career goals.
More than 50% of my staff continued-on with their formal education achieving AS and BA
degrees.
• Collaborated with Program Directors at each organizational location to analyze historical financial
data, previous year expenses, present and future forecasted projects. Using this information, 8-
10 workable annual budgets were developed for all sites within my region.
• Boosted productivity through development of a comprehensive training program on Voluntary
Pre-Kindergarten Programs offered in Pinellas County. Created curricula, handouts and
delivered lecture, small group and one-on-one instruction in the over 200 programs offered.
