          – NNI ~ 1: data is randomly distributed
          – NNI < 1: data is clustered
          – NNI > 1: data is uniformly distributed
      • Helps to answer if we have enough historic data for statistical
        significance
      • If data is not clustered neither Gi* nor KDE should be used
