2. Teleportation is the hypothetical transfer of matter or
energy from one point to another without traversing the
physical space between them. It is a common subject in
science fiction literature and in other popular culture.
Teleportation is often paired with time travel, being that
the travelling between the two points takes an unknown
period of time, sometimes being immediate.
3. • Teleportation will enable the transfer of quantum
information in the form of quantum states from one place
to another, thereby forming a quantum network. One
advantage of a quantum network is that information can
be transferred with absolute privacy. Messages cannot be
intercepted and read by eavesdroppers.
• Teleportation could be more environment friendly than
any other transport.
• It will provide rapid transportation over great distance .
• We could avoid major threats for example rescuing people
from accidental fire in their work areas
eg.Buildings,Shops etc. in a very instant and easy way just
like Superheroes we fantasy in movies.
• We will never miss any close events even if we are too far
away.
4. It turns out that that scan-and-reassemble type of teleportation is
actually possible thanks to a property of quantum mechanics called
"quantum entanglement." Quantum entanglement occurs when two
or more particles are forced to hold mutually exclusive states, so
determining one simultaneously determines the other.
If we take two particles, entangle them, and send one to the moon,
then we can use that property of entanglement to teleport
something between them. If we have an object we want to teleport,
all we have to do is include that object in the entanglement.
5. Scientists say human teleportation is 'possible' as they transfer atoms three metres in
groundbreaking experiment performed by Prof.Hanson(Delft University of
technology,Netherlands) and his team.
HOW DID THEY DO IT?
In Prof Hansons' experiment, three entangled particles - a nitrogen atom locked in a
diamond crystal and two electrons - were used to transfer spin information a distance of
three metres.
Four possible states were transmitted, each corresponding to a 'qubit', the quantum
equivalent of a digital 'bit'.
Each 'bit' of information in a classical computer represents one of two values, normally zero
or one.
But a 'qubit' can represent a zero, a one, or a 'superposition' of both states at the same time.
His team showed for the first time that it was possible to teleport information encoded into
sub-atomic particles between two points three metres apart with 100% reliability.
6. SUMMARY
David Rice is a high school student in Ann Arbor, abandoned by his mother at five,
living with his callous, alcoholic father, enamored with Millie, a fellow student,
and picked on by at least one classmate. On a winter's day, while about to drown,
he discovers he can transport himself instantaneously to anyplace on earth. He
runs away from home, goes to New York City, robs a bank vault, and comes to the
attention of a shadowy group of government hunters. Eight years later, the
hunters, led by the murderous Roland, get a fix on David. He heads home,
searches out Millie, invites her to travel with him, and only later realizes that
Roland and his crew are seriously deadly. Is everyone close to David in danger?
WHAT INSPIRED US?
As in the beginning of the movie we saw that how he used his powers to teleport
anywhere he want and also for his benefits he used it to directly teleport inside
a bank vault and steal money although we know that this act was not noble but
still if we anyhow in near future achieve this ability through a device we can use
its powers to minimise the travel time ,explore space ,move heavy objects
instantly without delay ,we(our group) personally would definitely use this to
travel the whole world but jokes aside,we could co-operately use this massive
technique to do great things and what not!!
7. On concluding note ,we would say that power of
teleporting like any other power or thing that today
exist has its pros and cons but it majorly depends on
how we use it .But if somehow in near future we can
figure out to use teleportation it will benefit us on a
huge scale on techological basis .It can make things
happen , that we cannot do manually, in an instant.
Transportation will become a piece of cake and travel
more simpler .
But as they say "WITH GREAT POWERS COMES
GREAT RESPONSIBILITY" ,we will have to keep things
in check which will maintain our overall advancement
smooth.
