This document discusses how applications are traditionally deployed using hardware load balancers versus a modern elastic load balancing fabric approach powered by Intel Xeon Scalable Processors and VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer. The traditional approach uses custom-built hardware in an active-standby configuration that results in static capacity, high costs, and complex operations.
