NATIONAL EMPLOYEE REP AND SALES EXECUTIVE AT EE 2012-2014
Challenge: Increase sales, service and performance at EE stores. Improve
new employee induction process and training. Improve companywide
training and support structure for all retail staff.
Action: Wrote a sales guide manual, coached staff and worked with
management at store, regional and executive level at Head Office – working
with Deidre Burns, Head of Retail, Matt Price, Head of Trading and others -
to improve customer service, sales, and employee welfare and morale, taking
a regional flagship store from a 150 nationwide ranking to a top 20 in the
company’s store rankings within one year.
Results: Contributed to the increase in the company’s bottom line in 2013
and 2014. Personally lead by example by toping sales in the entire company
and passing on the success key skills to colleagues across the estate and
actively using the company intranet to help other stores improve sales,
service and performance.
Analysis: Working with my both colleagues and the executive team, could
pinpoint relevant training and support to ensure that the success achieved in
leading regions could be replicated across the entire estate. The successful
approach could be applied to any brand or business and continues to be one
of the success modules at EE following my departure to start 1impact1 Ltd,
and advertising management consultancy and training company in summer
2014.
LEADERSHIP SUCCESS AS DIRECTOR OF URBAN CONNEXION 2005 - 12
Provide an atmosphere where individuals can be creative and reward
independent thinking and reasonable risk taking, support people even if a new
approach is unsuccessful.
Challenge: Increase the number of schools, groups and families visiting
Tussauds Group Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, Madame
Tussauds, Thorpe Park and Warwick Castle.
Action: Created virtually “self-managed” departments and created a
nationwide campaign using managers from affiliated business brands such
as Green King’s Hungry Horse nationwide pubs and restaurants to help in the
management of over 500 promotions staff across the UK – implemented
monthly and quarterly budget tracking/ financial analysis system,
streamlined business processes and delegated administrative functions to
produce increased output.
Results: Contributed as much as £120,000 to the company’s bottom line
in 2005, increased footfall at Tussauds Group facilities nationwide and
succeeded in managing the marketing department below budget.
Analysis: Working with my team in handling administrative and financial
tasks, could focus on achieving new goals in sales, marketing, project
management, customer service, promotions campaigns, training and
relationship building in support of my clients.

family business to reach a wider customer base without rebranding.
Action: Worked with the management team and the entire promotions team
on new hands-on promotions and marketing campaigns. Successfully
launched new marketing strategies in Bath, Bristol, From, Chippenham,
Taunton and surrounding areas.
Results: The brand name became more popular, increased revenues as a
direct result of generating new customers, re-engaging previous ones and
retaining them.
Analysis: Professional credentials acquired over ten years of hands-on
experience, technical proficiency, and a personal commitment to making a
