A psychological disorder

9. Panic Anxiety Disorders
A pattern of anxiety in
which long periods of
calmness are broken by
intensely uncomfortable
attack of anxiety without
warning or without
obvious cause.
Respiration increases,
rapid heart beats and
pounding with intensity
will be felt by the
individual as if he or she
is having heart attack.
11. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Occurs after an individual has
been exposed to, or has
experienced a traumatic event
where they felt that they, or
those around them, were in
danger of being hurt or killed.
Characterized by flashbacks,
distressing dreams, and
intrusive thoughts relating
back to the trauma.
Trauma – a deeply distressing
and disturbing experience.
15. OCD : Compulsion
An irresistable urge to
engage in behavior. If
the individual tries to
stop engaging in the
behavior, he or she
experiences as urgent
anxiety until the
behavior is resumed.
17. Phobia
An intense, unrealistic
fear.
In this case, anxiety is
focused so intensely
on some objects or
situations that the
individual is acutely
uncomfortable
around it and will
often go to great pain
to avoid it.
