2. The Society for Educa onal and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED) is a registered body under Sec on 10 of
the Tamil Nadu Socie es Registra on Act. SEED has been established by professionals with rich experience in
Industry, Academia and Entrepreneurship. SEED is involved in organizing Training and Development programs
for academia industries, facilita ng quality assurance through Accredita on, promo ng Ins tute Industry
partnership,nurturingentrepreneurship,facilita ngpublica onsandundertakingconsultancy,RDprojects.
Sustainable Ins tute Industry Partnership (SIIP) is an ini a ve that aims to bridge the Ins tute Industry gap
through symbiosis. The gap exists due to rela ve differences in perspec ves of educa onal Ins tutes and
Industries. Ins tutes look at the general development of students that will give them a wide range of
opportuni es and choices, while Industries look for employees with specific skills who will fit directly into their
system.
Having this obvious discrepancy in their respec ve requirements of Ins tutes Industries, there is a need to
create a pla orm where Ins tutes and Industries can meet, share ideas and interact to bridge the gap. To fulfil
this much awaited need, the Sustainable Ins tute Industry Partnership conference, the flagship event of SEED
wasconductedin2013,20142015at IIT-Madras,Chennaiand2016at IIC,NewDelhi.
In con nua on of our success in previous edi ons and as a Public Private Partnership model, the 5 Na onal
Summit on “Sustainable Ins tute Industry Partnership (SIIP -2017)” is organized by SEED in collabora on with
Colombo Plan Staff College, Phillippines, partnering with BOAT (SR) as Knowledge partner and The New Indian
ExpressasMediaPartner.
