WEEKLYOBJECTIVES Objectiv es must be met ov er the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectiv es, necessary procedures must be f ollowed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activ ities may be done f or dev eloping content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formativ e Assessment strategies. Valuing objectiv es support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to f ind signif icance and joy in learning lessons. Weekly objectiv es shall be deriv ed f rom the curriculum guides. A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding ofhimself/herselfduring middle and late adolescence B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to conductself-exploration and simple disclosure C. Learning Competencies / Objectives Write the LC code for each 1. Understand and explain in his or her own words what personal development is 2. Understand and explain the physiological basis ofpersonal development 3. Express his or her spiritual and religious beliefs and how these influence his or her personal development. II. CONTENT Content is what the lesson is all about. It pertains to the subject matter that the teacher aims to teach. In the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two. Introduction to Personal Development III. LEARNING RESOURCES List the materials to be used in dif f erent day s. Varied sources of materials sustain children's interest in the lesson and in learning. Ensure that there is a mix of concrete and manipulativ e materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept dev elopment. A. References 1. Teacher’s Guide pages 2-11 2. PROCEDURES These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activ ities appropriately so that students will learn well. Alway s be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which y ou can inf er f rom f ormative assessment activ ities. Sustain learning sy stematically by providing students with multiple way s to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning process, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their lif e experiences and prev ious knowledge. Indicate the time allotment f or each step. A.Reviewing previous lesson or presenting a new lesson Giving an introduction to the subject Personal Development and discussing the subject description. B.Establishing a purpose for the lesson C.Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson D.Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1 (Leads to Formative Assessment 1) 1. Ask the learners their ideas about personal development. Is it personality development or personal development? E.
