2. Case 1:
• A patient name ansa 4 months old, having body
weight 6 kg and have height 70cm. Baby is on
mother feed and have no disease. Having good
movements , all senses good. Mother have no
history of disease during pregnancy and have no
cousin marriage. Family have no genetic disease
history .

3. Feeding plan basics :
• Baby needs how many calories??
• How many times mother should feed baby ??
• How much complimentary foods given to the baby??
• Water given to Baby or not ??

4. Plan:
• 6-7 am :

5. In case of diseased baby :
• Catchup calories are added with normal calories in
case of diseased baby
• In case of malnourished babies, also add Catchup
calories.

6. Formulas are only allowed in these
situations:
• Galactocemia.
• Lactose intolerance.
• Breast surgery or breast cancer.
• Inborn defects.
• HIV mothers.

7. Case 2:
• A patient name ansa 4 months old, having body
weight 5 kg and have height 59cm. Baby is on
mother feed and have chronic diarrhea , hb is 8 ,
having yellow or pale skin, not active , but having
all senses good. Mother have no history of disease
during pregnancy and have cousin marriage.
Family have no genetic disease history , baby vomit
out after feeding, weep most of the time.
Diagnosis proves that baby have galactocemia.
Baby is on formula feed and supplements.

9. Case 3:
• A patient name ansa 1 months old, having body
weight 2.5kg. Baby have birth weight till now , no
increase of weight and height. Baby have upper
skin soft then normal.Diagnosis shows that baby is
suffering from MMA. No family disease history.

10. Plan for tube feeding Baby :
• Give calories according to patient situation.
• If baby have good absorption in that situation then
Give calories according to weight but feeding
patterns should be changed and not same as Normal
baby. Give maximum 10ml in one interval of tube
feeding .
• If baby have bad absorption then
Give according to absorption most probably at
least 5ml should be given to the baby.
