Introduction of IoT IoT is invented by Kevin Ashton in 1999.The internet of things, or IoT, is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
  3. 3. Internet of things facilitates the several advantages in day-to-day life in the business sector. Some of its benefits are given below: Efficient resource utilization: If we know the functionality and the way that how each device work we definitely increase the efficient resource utilization as well as monitor natural resources. Minimize human effort: As the devices of IoT interact and communicate with each other and do lot of task for us, then they minimize the human effort. Save time: As it reduces the human effort then it definitely saves out time. Time is the primary factor which can save through IoT platform. Improve security: Now, if we have a system that all these things are interconnected then we can make the system more secure and efficient.  Advantages of IoT
  4. 4.  Importance of IoT The IoT provides a platform that creates opportunities for people to connect these devices and control them with big data technology, which in return will promote efficiency in performance, economic benefits and minimize the need for human involvement. It's the most important development of the 21st century.
  5. 5.  Can IoT change world ? IoT is also changing the way energy companies do business. Utility companies like PG&E are beginning to use smart meters. Because of the two- way communication, smart meters give utility companies the necessary data to better predict demand, spot outages, and help the company know when to schedule repairs.

  7. 7. Some of the current IoT applications include city surveillance, smart parking, traffic monitoring, waste management and smart lighting. Internet of Things can possibly change the manner in which urban communities use water. Smart meters can facilitate leakage detection and reduce wastage.
  8. 8.  What is the future of IoT in India ? From the Indian organizations that were part of the study, 81% felt that IoT is key to digital transformation. According to a study by Deloitte, the current number of IoT devices in India is around 60 million and the number is going to increase to 1.9 billion units by 2020.
  9. 9. Smart farming is powerful application of IoT generating curiosity among world's population. Smart surveillance, automated transportation, smarter energy management systems, water distribution, urban security and environmental monitoring all are examples of internet of things applications for smart farming .And others such as smart home, industrial internet, smart cities , Iot in agriculture , Energy engagement and more other applications of Iot.
  10. 10.  Disadvantages of IoT As the Internet of things facilitates a set of benefits, it also creates a significant set of challenges. Some of the IoT challenges are given below: Security: As the IoT systems are interconnected and communicate over networks. The system offers little control despite any security measures, and it can be lead the various kinds of network attacks. Privacy: Even without the active participation on the user, the IoT system provides substantial personal data in maximum detail. Complexity: The designing, developing, and maintaining and enabling the large technology to IoT system is quite complicated. Unemployment: The biggest disadvantage of IoT is that ,it increases the unemployment.
