SHUT DOWN EXPERINCE:-
Took active part in the inspection team performing Shutdown Inspection of Fluidized Catalyst Cracking Unit in
August-2002, Shutdown inspection of FR-APS in May-June 2003, Shutdown Inspection FRE-APS in December 2003,
Shutdown Inspection of Diesel hydro De-Sulphurisation Unit & FR-VPS unit in May 2004.
INSPECTION OF TANKS & PIPELINES: -
Inspection during downtime and on-stream inspection {OSI} of product storage tanks and transfer pipelines in the
offsite storage area and onsite area, as per statutory requirements. Fabrication inspectionof Tanks and transfer pipeline.
Witnessed various Inspection techniques such as DP test, Kero-Chalk test, Hydro test, Pneumatic test.
INSPECTION OF VALEVS, SAFETY VALVES & HEAT EXCHANGERS: -
Inspection of various coatings on gate valves. Conducted various hydro and Pneumatic test for Valves
Inspection of FRE coatings on heat exchanger. Witnessing safety valves and pressure vent testing in
workshop.
INSPECTION OF HEAT EXCHANGERS: -
Inspection of tube bundles and other accessories before & after hydro jetting. Witnessing Ring test, Tube test & final
test of heat exchangers according to the pressure stated in the drawing.
INSPECTION OF TOWERS & COLUMNS:-
Inspection of tower & Columns after cleaning, inspection of trays, shell, TSR, nozzles. Witnessed Magnetic Particle
Testing & DP test of all T-joints. Reviewd the thickness of the shell after Thickenss gauging with the original
thickness in the drawings. Witnessed Stress relieving after any welding.
PIPELINE ENGINEER

INSPECTION OF FURNACE, BOILERS :-
Inspection of furnace tubes in convection, radiation section & studed tubes & Boiler tubes. Reviewing the thickness
of all the tubes after thickness gauging with the original thickness in the drawing. Inspection of condition of the
keepers and supports of the various tubes. Fabrication inspection if any tube or shell replacement. Inspection of the
refractory condition and repair of the same. Witnessing hydro test of the complete tube circuit finally.
INSPECTION OF PAINTING, INSULATION & FIREPROOFING: -
Witnessed stage wise inspection of painting and insulation of pipelines, Exchangers, Towers, Valves, Stacks, Tanks
and structural. This includes surface preparation (manual & shot blasting), checking the paint DFT of various coats
with Elcometer and checking the foil, mattress and weather cover in case of insulation. Inspection of fireproofing of
columns and tower skirts.
NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING: -
Witnessed various NDT’s like DPT, Holiday test, MPT, UT, RT before and after fabrication, all T- joints in
Drums, Towers etc.
