AIoT
AIoT stands for AI+IoT, which refers to the integration of artificial intelligence technology and the
Internet of Things in practical applications. At present, more and more industries and applications
combine AI and IoT. AIoT has become the best channel for the intelligent upgrade of major
traditional industries and an important direction for the development of the Internet of Things in
the future.
As more and more companies list AIoT as one of their main development directions, AIoT has
become a buzzword in the Internet of Things industry and frequently appears in the public eye.
AIoT stands for AI+IoT, which refers to the integration of artificial intelligence technology and the

2. The development path of AIoT

intelligence, and actionable intelligence.
2.1 Single machine intelligence

2.3 Active Intelligence
Active intelligence means that the intelligent system is on standby at any time based on user
behavior preferences, user portraits, environment, and other information. It has self-learning,
self-adaptation, and self-improvement capabilities, and can actively provide users with services
without waiting for users to make demands. Compared with interconnected intelligence, active
intelligence truly realizes the intelligence and automation of AIoT and brings great changes to life.

3. Main application scenarios of AIoT
In the past few years, the development of AIoT has been rapid. Up to now, AIoT has been widely
used in smart homes, smart cities, smart security, and industrial robots.
3.1 Smart home
Smart home is designed to connect various devices in the home through the Internet of Things
technology and provide a variety of control functions and monitoring methods. Compared with

First of all, smart security with the help of AIoT has higher value in home security, fire protection,

3.4 Industrial robot
AIoT still has very broad application prospects in the industrial field, the main one being the
application in the field of industrial robots.
In the industrial era where automation is popular, the production process opportunities are
completely automated, robots have a high degree of self-adaptability, and the Industrial Internet
of Things will realize the intelligent interconnection of machines with the assistance of AIoT. In

In the future, industrial production will be further intelligent, and industrial robots will be more

4. AIoT still has some problems
IoT is the general trend of the future, but the large-scale data analysis it brings is beyond human
resources, and the inability of data to be transformed into meaningful information becomes
meaningless. AI technology just plays an important role in processing data and solves the
important difficulties of IoT. The data obtained through the Internet of Things has also become
the nutrient of AI. The integrated AIoT can also further improve the current technological

obstacles.
4.1 Security issues
AI systems and the Internet of Things will continuously collect and analyze data, so ensuring the
security and reliability of data becomes extremely important. Once the system is hacked, the

cost to the enterprise will be large and the loss is incalculable. Therefore, security is the primary
issue before AIoT technology.
Compatibility and complexity issues
The Internet of Things realizes the interconnection of everything, but the Internet of Things

connected through AIoT, the hardware arrangement and software interaction between different
devices may encounter difficulties. A large number of different devices and interaction methods
