Adlink – HPERC series
The Sealed Extreme Rugged™ COTS computing platform in a tiny VITA-75 footprint is ideal for ground, air,
and sea deployments where projects require reduced SWaP - most effectively through a standards based
footprint, while also providing High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC). It is an easily configured,
application-ready platform for fast integration of custom rugged embedded applications. and has a wide
array of fast I/O provided on uniquely-keyed MIL-DTL-38999 connectors.
Acromag – ARCX series
A rugged, small form factor, embedded computer with unique expandable features that include PMC,
XMC, mini PCIe, mSATA module slots, optional solid-state drive, front I/O panel and secondary connectors.
Compatible with industry standards and manufactured to IP67 standards and shock and vibration tested
to MIL-STD-810G, these computers are available as either single PMC/XMC slot or double PMC/XMC slot
versions.
Astronics Ballard – AB3000 series
This device is small, lightweight and loaded with capabilities for easy integration into today’s modern
aircraft, UAVs and ground mobile platforms. With an efficient Intel® E680T processor, MIL-STD-1553 and

Power and Magnetics
Off-the-shelf COTs power supplies meet the need for high-power density
and high efficiency
We offer a wide choice of COTs power supplies designed specifically for the harsh-environment,
high-reliability needs of the military market. Our products are designed and manufactured to comply
with the latest military standards and offer high efficiency, excellent power density, and, in the case of
our‘brick-style’products, an industry-standard footprint. The‘brick-style’range includes all the modules
you need to make military-grade power supplies with AC or DC inputs and power ratings of up to
800 W.
We also offer a range of complete modular and rack-mounted power supplies for those applications
where equipment is rack mounted or installed in more benign environments.
Standard and custom magnetic components
We offer an unsurpassed range of magnetic cores, inductors, chokes and transformers incorporating
high performance magnetic ferrite and powder materials optimised for military- and aerospace-sector
demanding applications.
Both MnZn and NiZn ferrite material types are available to fully address the complete range of design

Sensors
Wide choice of sensors to support military applications
We offer an extensive range of sensors suitable for rugged, harsh environment and high-shock
military applications. Our expertise and specialist sensor knowlege can help you choose the right
sensor product for your application.
Accelerometers – rugged MEMs accelerometers available in 1-, 2- and 3-axis variants, suitable for
applications with high shock and vibration.
Navigational gyroscopes / angular rate sensors – rugged MEMs gyroscopes and angular rate sensors
suitable for applications with high shock and vibration, and for guidance systems.
Temperature sensors – wide range of NTC thermistors for temperature sensing applications with
response times as fast as 0.1s.
Pressure sensors – wide range of board-mounted and media-isolated pressure transducers to suit
all applications. Wide variety of port configurations with absolute, gauge and differential pressure
measurement options with analogue and digital outputs.
Magnetometers /compass modules – wide range of 1-, 2- and 3-axis board-mounted magnetometers
for use in IMUs and magnetic flux detection. The electronic compass modules are suitable for all
applications.
Vibration – rugged MEMs based vibration sensors with world-class accuracy.
Humidity – humidity only and humidity / temperature board-mounted sensors using resistive or
capacitive technologies with analogue or digital outputs.
Custom sensor probes – we offer a wide range of customisation options, taking the standard sensing
element and then packaging the element to form a rugged probe.
Focus on vibration –
VS1000 single axis vibration sensor / accelerometer
The new VS1000 vibration sensor offers the best combined
bias-stability, repetitive high-shocks resistance, linearity and noise
performance available on the market. In addition, an embedded
self-test feature ensures that the device is functional at all times.
The new Colibrys VS1000 embeds an optimised MEMS sensor, a
new ASIC and a temperature sensor, the combination of which
offers an outstanding large and flat frequency response from
DC 0 Hz to 2500 Hz ±5% (typ), 7000 Hz ± 3 dB (typ).
The new ASIC-optimised architecture offers exceptional bias and
scale factor temperature stabilities of ± 0.2 mg/°C (min/max)
and 120 ppm/°C (typ). It also features overload and aftershock
recovery detection. The non-linearity becomes almost
non-existent with 0.1% of the full scale output (typ), under
vibrations.

Board-to-board connectors
For board-to-board connectivity in military applications we recommend the use of Smiths Connectors’
products that use the Hypertac® hyperboloid contact. Connectors using these contacts generally
provide immunity to shock and vibration fretting, numerous linear paths of contact, and a self-cleaning
wipe action that results in consistently better signal integrity. The Hypertac® contact system also offers
low insertion and extraction forces, low contact resistance, and industry-leading mating cycles.
RF connectors and cables assemblies
For RF connectivity from DC to 67 GHz we are able to provide a wide range of connectors, adapters and
cable assemblies, all MIL certified, for use in the most demanding military applications.

Electromechanical
Electromechanical – heating, cooling and switches
We offer a unique combination of design expertise and leading-edge technologies from our
comprehensive range of thermal management and HMI products. Designed for external and
rugged environments, we can offer a suitable solution and custom manufacturing service for

Switches and keypads
We have a wide range of panel switches and illuminators ideal for use in control panels and
systems, all designed for operation in harsh environments typical for military equipment. We also
offer a custom keypad design and manufacture service.
Heater mats
When used in cold environments, certain elements of the system may benefit from the addition
of direct heating. Our range of heating solutions are based on the very latest insulated silicone
rubber heating elements and can be supplied as mats or as insulated jackets with an integral
heating element. All products have UL and VDE approvals and are generally designed to meet
the exact customer requirements.

We offer a wide range of AC/DC blowers and fans, some of which are waterproof and suitable

PowerMax Pro – high-speed laser power sensor
Coherent have developed a new, high-speed, thin-
film sensor technology for laser power measurement
(50 mW to 15 kW). Its unique thermal flow design
enables fast, high-power measurement, with high
damage resistance. The sensor is so fast (less than
ten microseconds in the case of the HD version) that
users can trace the pulse shape of modulated lasers
at pulse repetition frequencies up to 25 kHz.
