There are location and social situations where our
appearance and use of language changes. We dress and talk
differently depending on the people we are with.
For example, we speak differently with our age group friends
than with a doctor. Things such as tone, body language,
gestures, and volume, provide the listener with additional
information that the speaker is trying to convey.
