VERTICAL DESCRIPTION
• CTS (Cheque Truncation System) :-
Cheque Truncation System (CTS) or Image-based Clearing System (ICS), in India, is a project
undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 2008, for faster clearing of cheques. CTS is based on
a cheque truncation or online image-based cheque clearing system where cheque images
and magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) data are captured at the collecting bank branch and
transmitted electronically.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTY
Analyzing and providing resolution to Technical and Operational issues in production
environment within TAT.
Ensuring the smooth Clearing Operations by proactively monitoring the Application.
Taking important meetings / Con Calls with Banks / Client with help of the other team members.
Organizing and delivering Training / Workshop for Member banks to make their staff understood
and comfortable about CTS product.
Attending Bank /Client technology related queries and making them understand through mail,
phone call and meeting.
Coordinating with Client (RBI / NPCI) for issues and product related changes required in
Production Environment for the product.
Performing internal and end to end testing for the product update patches and hot fixes.
Implementing Application upgrade patches and hot fixes in Production Environment.
Installation of Oracle Database and CTS application (ECPIX) in the servers and make them
production ready.
Fetching data from Oracle Database and Archive Servers as per the Client Requirement.
Coordinate with network team and doing network testing (FTP / telnet) for the Network related
issues / Activities.
Managing Third party applications IBM WebSphere, Crystal Reports, WsFtp Server, HSM Cards
and Oracle associated with CTS Application.
Invoking DR Drills for switchover of Application and Database from PR to DR servers.
