Fusion Blood Bank
Introduction
A Blood Bank Management system is a critical system wherein there is a huge risk
involved in managing a client’s personal transaction details involving blood type, analysis
and test results of blood etc. Our proposed system provides an end to end solution to
compute, organize, access and manage all the above-mentioned information along with other
essential blood bank details without any of the cumbersome tasks such as manually searching
for filed forms of donors or recipients and minimize manual intervention. With cloud
computing a physical database is not required as the data can be accessed from the server.
This helps in speeding up the blood donation process as data is easily available online. With
the help of cloud computing we avoid the risk of losing donor/recipient information which
can be helpful in future transactions. Using cloud as our handler for data as well as
processing, the data retrieval is much more faster and also optimized. The system takes care
of managing the records of blood, inventory management, client delivery and hence user is
not required to submit any form manually and will be captured online. Thus, we can generate
reports, analyse and implement new key features for business and revenue. Our system
proposes end to end automated capsuled system, where there is no leakage of errors in any
stage of the process.
Objective
To create a stand-alone system which will help, ease the process of managing client
information during blood transactions. To make sure as to keep a regular track of the
inventory such that there is no shortage in time of need. With cloud computing we are
minimizing the risk of losing data which would be helpful for future transactions in terms of
patient history and also for any specific blood group requirements.

Organisation Background
With experience in the domain of healthcare industry, we provide services to various
customers in the field of medicine connected globally. Currently our services are restricted to
CMMI level 3 and with the help of marketing and business strategies of our organization, we
are capable to cater major share in finance sector. As technology changes with time, the
system should be adaptable, hassle free and automated without any requirement of human
resources up to a certain limit. This idea paved way for the vision to open hands towards the
blood bank and management system in the health care industry. This service will be provided
by using salesforce cloud environment and a complete automated system in the areas of
maintaining history of data, user information, patient records, blood group testing and
delivery of blood to the needy in time. Our vision statement goes like this
“To serve society in ethical way and deliver globally with technology in time”.
As recent financial analysis shows that health care industry has gaps in advancement of
technology and also future market to be invested, we can forecast a climatic growth in
financials. Blood bank management system involves high risk of security, integrity and
identity of data and delivery in time. Hence, we as FBB (Fusion Blood Bank) venturing into
managing this system as a complete end to end setup which helps in development of
branching out arms into other functional areas. As a result, the system is completely
automated by storing the data in servers and can avoid human efforts by eliminating lengthy
forms. Blood data retrieval, transfer of blood packets to the client is completely taken care by
our service and thus challenging other global competitors.
As we are dealing with critical data the market involves threat and risks to the system. Major
challenges can be prevented by educating and convincing the employees with usage of more
structure-oriented tasks and ensuring the quality of the process. Thus, we compete with other
global organizations in capturing the revenue market in blood bank and health care domain.

Implementation:
Implementation of this project requires us to analyse the relation between the different
entities and how they are associated with each other.
We also have to perform the SWOT analysis to see if there are any threats to the system.
Strengths:
 System is automated.
 Data in the system is accurate.
 Chances of loss of data are minimal as it is stored on the cloud.
Weakness:
 Staff may not be skilled.
 Possible delays if there is shortage in inventory.
Opportunity:
 Modify the system with upcoming technology.
 Managing the inventory can be easy.
 Mobile application for ease of access to customers.
Threats:
 Hospitals not willing to share information.
 Acceptance of our business model across the globe.

Process:
The Donor details are recorded through the registration process. Based on the requirement
and the blood packets available in the inventory our organization contacts the blood bank.
When recipients approach the organization all the details are taken into consideration. Based
on the priority the blood is donated to the recipient.
Organization:
In our organization primary details of the employees such as Name, Address, Age and Date
of birth are recorded. The Donor/Recipient details are taken during the registration process
before donating the blood. The organization keeps track of the blood through the inventory
management.
Inventory Management:
In the inventory management section, the manager and employee details are taken. The
inventory keeps track of the stock available. Based on the requirement a request is raised to
the blood bank for the blood type which will be needed by the organization. When there is
requirement for blood packets, an order number is created which keeps track of how many
blood packets have been given. The final approval is given by the manager of the inventory
when giving blood to the recipient.
Donor:
The donor approaches our organization when he/she wants to donate blood. During
registration all the details of the donor are taken into account to know if the person is eligible
to donate blood.
Recipient:
All the primary details are taken when the recipient approaches the organization. Based on
the blood packets available in the inventory, blood is given to the recipient or ordered from
the blood bank if falling short for the particular blood type.
