• Foundation for natural face is well blended, in theatre it will look dark for lighting purposes
but trust me when I say that you will wash out under lights if you don’t put it on strong.
• Makeup should also blend into the neck
• Translucent powder will set your makeup so it will be resistant to smudging and rubbing off
on costumes
• Lip stain is a must for musicals, you will not have time to keep applying lipstick, get long
wear.
• Dramatic eye tutorials are your friends. I will write links on you personal make up maps if
you need specific directions and there are links on the last slide for your convenience.

• You need foundation on your face. Lights wash you out and you need color on your face
so you do not look like a ghost
• Blush and bronzer on cheeks and forehead accents youth and gives your face a more 3d
presence of a strongly lit stage that often will make an actors face look flat
• YOU NEED EYE LINER AND MASCARA- your eyes will look small and undefined
under lights if you don’t accent them
• A Natural look does not mean no make up!
• Seal all make up with translucent powder!
• EVERYONE but MARVIN, and NICK, shave your face!! To those that have facial hair
mangae it and keep it clean and trimmed.
