Managing daily operation for the following departments: Intensive Care Unit,
Emergency Department and Healthworks.
• Review daily staffing needs for all departments assigned ensuring this meets
establish ratio and operational need
• Review daily accounting report to ensure all charges for room and board,
observation status, level of care, surgical procedure charge and supplies are
accurate
• Edit Kronos entries (Time clock) for any discrepancies with written validation
from staff.
• Daily huddle with staff to explain new changes and/or discuss with staff
concerns that is presented
• Inspect environment that this meets patients and staff expectations
• Rounding with patients in ICU and ED to promote customer service relation
• Meet with pharmacy manager on regular basis to ensure medications are
loaded in the unit dose dispenser.

• Random audits on documentation with regards to Core Measure (AMI, CHF,
Pneumonia and SCIP) and other quality initiatives such as pain, moderate
sedation and restraints.
• Timeliness in responding to patient, physician and staff complaints with
resolution(s) provided.
Develop basic entry level competencies for all departments assigned and
recommended annual competency necessary for staff to maintain and meet regulatory
requirements.
Conduct monthly review of budget and reassess needs of each department assigned to
meet operational need
Work collaboratively with contracted Emergency Physicians and ED Staff to improve
throughput and services in the ED (Sept. 2009- August, 2011). The following metrics
are reviewed and shared with staff monthly:
• Door to Triage was reduced from 22 minutes to 11 minutes
• Door to bed was reduced from 46 minutes to 22 minutes
• Discharge LOS was reduced from 186 minutes to 133 minutes
Rapid Care patients are discharge within an hour from arrival
• Door to MSE currently at 22 minutes
• LOS Admitted patient was reduced from 286 minutes to 242 minutes
• LWBS was reduced from 3.8 % to 1.8%
Developed the Business Plan for Healthworks (Occupational Health). The following
