Beginners Guide to TikTok for Search - Rachel Pearson - We are Tilt __ Bright...

1.
2. When filming the film, some of the
lighting was quite dark which meant that
watching the play back of the film we
couldn’t really watch it as it was so dark.
However in order for our audience to
watch his film, we had to adjust the
brightness, to make these scenes
viewable.
3. When editing our 2 minute film some of
our sound was really quiet which meant
that we had to improve it. We did this by
downloading sounds from
www.freeSFX.co.uk . The sounds we used
helped improve the sound of the chair
being thrown across the floor.
4. We also used a range of different sound
effects such as the sound of floor boards
creaking. This helped make the film scarier
as a stereotypical horror film uses creaking
boards to help build up tension and make
the film jumpier.
We also added in an old man laughing at
the end of our film. This sound effect helped
make the film more scarier as there was no
old man in the film which builds up the idea
that there is a ghost in the building. Also in a
typical horror film there is usually a man after
a girl which makes our film a conventional
horror.
5. For our opening and ending we use A text.
We used this so that it gave a clear plot/
message to the audience, so that they
would know what is happening and also a
bit of background to the film. We wanted
to use A text in the opening as it also
helped build up a tense atmosphere
because the idea of two girls trying to
prove that there is no such things as ghosts
is bound to go wrong as it is something that
a conventional horror story would do.
6. When editing our video we decided to use
a special effect which was bad TV. We
wanted to use this because it created more
of a mystery for the audience as they don’t
know what the ghost looks like which meant
that if we carried on filming it then they
wouldn’t know who the ghost was.
Also it played on the audiences fear of the
unknown. This is because the audience
would have been imagining something else
as they couldn’t see what the ghost looked
like.
