Task 2

  1. Should factual writing contain bias? Factual writing can be a rangeof different facts, that which doesn’tjust contain giving theories or personal views. As factual writing deals with mostly facts and concerns with everyday situation. For an example of factual writing which includes local, regional, national and international news stories. As factual describes stories of the event without by using subjectivedescriptions. Biased is about is viewing one particular side to the other. As you only have one mind set on to one view only not looking at any other view. Justhaving a straightmindset. As they only favour one idea than the other idea. By looking at the positive side towards bias sidethat it brings good of the different perspectives in the politics such as talking about leaving the EU specifically. By looking at this is by people leaving the UK shows that people want to discover places for the specific reason for instance; job roles which go around the world and also because of peoples loved ones who live there. But however, this is a bad thing that people leaving the UK for better jobs somewhereelseor family reasons. However, itgives over places in the UK possiblebetter jobs for other people who will stay to live here in UK who looking for these jobs which are available. Also people can come over from particularly places around the world to take someof the holiday jobs as well as this job options for others too. As this made it easier for people to find jobs has improved on a grand scale over the EU. As the number of people who left Britain wereabout 106,000 outof 230,000 in the 12 months of June in 2017. However, theupgradefrom this they have discovered that the number of people who have come to Britain was about the figure of 261,000 as this is to do with better jobs. To come this country for a better life and better work place. Also, another support of this of leaving the EU is by looking at the schools as this is for the education system this gives more children more hope to have a better education out everyone else for thosefamilies. As this is from the guardian newspaper, https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/nov/30/net-migration-to-uk- shows-largest-annual-fall-since-records-began . I would say that the viewpoints of these things which have been stated here. I would agree that we are leaving the EU brings the nation with good intentions as this creates general good ideas. Which will be used for instance like what you seen so far. By using it for the good situations like talking about people’s lives like educations wiseand for people careers. I think it is good thing that other counties are coming together, helping each other out. Bias does support this viewpointbecause most people would say that this type of schemeis good
  2. of the EU of how other cultures interlock with each other, but it’s giving good skills to offer ranges of people around the world. If you hear something like fromthe politics viewpoints, then you are more likely to agree with whatthey are talking about on that specific article. Like which you haveseen in this specific article. Also bias can come into it by to do with products specifically looking at adverts of how they push various products which the consumers may wantor who may not wantthe items at all. As these can be used for good reason and also bad reasons as well. For instanceif a girl wanted a particular outfit becauseone of her friends this would be bias because shewill haveto changeherself and her own view points of how she thinks and how she dresses off someone’s perspectivenother’s no more. As this would be a forced on to the consumer. Or, they agree to listen to something on Facebook that may not be true of whatsomeone who has written it, as they may not show any evidence to back it up either. I would want to know as person from by looking at an article of news of a story, which has justhappened, of shooting in a schoolin America. By looking at this specific story on BBC news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us- canada-43066226 you would wantto know the two sides of argumentof the following reasons why he put things through his mind of these mind thoughts. As want to hear side to be spoken aboutto heard as from the rest of the opinions of the other sideas well. As by this lets you hear both sides of the arguments fromhearing both of them. As this gives a clear perspectivefrom one to the other argument. As would make it fair to get both sides of the story. As I would makeit clearer so then your not justhearing one point of view, fromboth sides of the argument. As I think it is an equal and fair decision to it this way. So if you justthink of one viewpointof an argument as you only get one side to the story so this would make you to think only of this side of story. As it won’tmake your brain differ to change your own mindset. So by knowing two sides of the story makes that morefair and by also gives you listen to someone point view, which you haven’tlistened to before. To give you more detail about why they did the act to these people against anyoneelse. Itgives them a voice fromboth sides of the argument, which would mean gives more chance to be listened to. The problems with being biased is because by particularly looking at people who write blogs, author critics and journalists. They are very critically biased of what they state which what they write or say on the news. As it only their specific opinions and no one else’s has a say. As this shown to be only one
  3. sided as this has become very successfulwith loads of business like http://www.journalism.org/2012/11/01/coverage-candidates-media-sector- and-cable-outlet/ Also people can look whatpeople havestated fro journalists or authors which they have written or products people can become restaint not buy the product or listen to something which the customers think is true, or don’t think to their minds is right. Fromlooking at specifically at an article about how Donald Trump the ways he will make America great again, which states the facts in his campaign promises. By justreading through each one of the promises of what he is meant to make not turn away, it sounds very negativeof how he is to most to people. As most of the people didn’t think his promises wherethat great and shouldn’thaveelected for him. As most of the promises for his campaign are againstto a specific culture. Which you can see here on this website. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jul/15/donald-trumps- top-10-campaign-promises/ I would say that we as nation of society should havethe opinion to have view of both sides of the story of whatit will be covering. As you need to listen to both viewpoints. As this be fair way. As in way I don’t think there shouldn’tbe any bias within factual writing becausepeople would justagree which is written and justbelieve if it is true or not. So that’s why I think you cant just one reason you need to more reasons from both viewpoints. What is good about bias? A good thing about factual writing about bias is that if someone listens to your viewpoint and backs it up as well, this shows thatsupporters agreewith you as well with your side of an argument. As they get the chance to see your point of view. As this is good becausesee both view points. Then, however, if you ever hear whatsomeone says or someonetells whatyour product does then they are more willing to listen to what you have to say or moreeasily to buy the productthat much quicker. Also whatanother a good stand to listen, too viewpoints fromboth sides to so then this means you have allowed to either to go agree with one side or the other side. As this showing somepeople have open minds so that they can understand both viewpoints whatother people have said. I would say Itcould be either good or bad thing depending on the particular thing you aretalking about.
