Ms. Love’s entrepreneurial acumen stems from over 100 years family heritage — her paternal grandfather is the late Pa.
Alhaji Jimoh Odutola – a Global Industrial Conglomerate. Prior to launching SÏMEMA, she was the Founder & Managing
Partner of AMA LOVE Consulting (A.L.C); and also served for over 14 years in various positions in major Fortune 500
companies around the country and managed over a billion dollars in assets.
Under Ama leadership, A.L.C brought an innovative vision to business and government affairs consulting—that effective
business and economic development must be informed by best practices and business discipline. Ama recognizes that the

9. Ms. Ama Love, MBA
Ama Love is the Chair of the Board of Advisors and President of SIMEMA, LLC. Prior to launching SIMEMA, she was
the Founder of AMA LOVE Consulting – a boutique business and government advisory agency; and also served for over 14
years in various risk, financial and operational management positions in major Fortune 500 companies around the country
and managed over a billion dollars in assets.
She is an award-winning Business-to-Business connector -- intuitive relationship-builder -- who is very passionate about
promoting and connecting innovative people and resources together. She is also a dynamic public speaker; and takes
pleasure in mentoring and empowering youths and women. Ama enjoys her philanthropy work; and is a recipient of many
awards, including AABE Houston 2013 President’s Award; Congressional Award for Trade & Development; ROADWomen
2014 Businesswoman Award, etc. Ama also serves on committees and boards, including her most recent appointment as
the first female President-Elect of the City of Houston Mayor’s International Trade & Development Council for Africa.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economic from the University of Tennessee Magna Cum Laude; and a
Chancery and Golden Scholar for her Master in Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship and Finance. Ms.
Love also holds Graduate Certificates in International Trade, and another in Accounting and Information Technology. Ama
is a vibrant mother of twin girls and an American citizen with Nigeria and Sierra Leone ancestry. When she is not working,
Ama enjoys world travels and spending time with family and friends in a variety of interests.

10. Mr. Erik Konicki, CVA, CFE
Mr. Erik Konicki is the Valuation and Litigation Support Manager at Briggs & Veselka – the 8th largest Houston-area
public accounting firm, providing reliable business and financial services to individuals and emerging middle-market
businesses in the greater Houston area since 1973. Mr. Konicki, a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Fraud
Examiner (CFE), has provided financial advisory services to companies in the software, oil and gas, healthcare services and
equipment, financial services, and utilities industries.
Mr. Konicki has extensive experience in investments including engagements relating to sell-side and buy-side research;
portfolio management; complex financial modeling; ESOPs; business transactions; and option valuations. He currently
serves on the Advisory Board of Commercial Finance Association-Houston (CFA). He is also an Adjunct Professor of
Insurance & Risk Management at the University of Houston – Downtown.
Mr. Konicki earned is Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Houston and his MBA
in Finance from University of St. Thomas (UST) Cameron School of Business. He is a member of the CFA Institute and
was the former President of the UST Cameron School of Business Alumni Association.
Erik resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and two children.

11. Mr. Pakwo Shum
Pakwo Shum has gained distinction as an entrepreneur and the visionary behind the startup and development of more than
half a dozen companies, bringing each enterprise to rapid and sustained profits and commercial success since 1988. In
2006, he founded Aviation Alliance to represent Delta Air Lines as Ghana’s dedicated General Sales Representative, and
has since led the company to win the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana 2008, 2010 and 2012 Airline of the Year
Awards. Aviation Alliance now represents Delta Air Lines in 9 West African countries.
He is also the founder and leader of a number of companies including LiosAfrica Capital Partners, a company that
specializes in West African joint venture opportunities between government and private sector establishments as well as the
promotion of start-up businesses. His diverse business background includes cocoa export, gold exploration and retail
operations.
Pakwo holds membership in a number of organizations including Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International
(FGBMFI) and the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). In 2012 he was a recipient of an FGBMFI Global Pillar Award
and the Anglican Bishop’s Award. He was also named 2012 Best Entrepreneur of the Year – Airline Industry by the
Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana. He graduated from the University of Ghana with a BSc in Administration and attended
the Ghana International School. Pakwo is married and has two daughters.

12. Dr. Lennard Tenende, Ph.D., P.E.
Dr. Lennard Tenende is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Cilicorp LLC. – a U.S-based company providing
technology and energy solutions to customers in emerging economies. Dr. Tenende has more than 30 years of combined
experience in Engineering, and information and communication technology (ICT). He spent the first 12 years at the
University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, as a lecturer at the then Faculty of Engineering (now College of Engineering). He
then spent 19 years as a professional engineer in USA working for Brown & Root, Halliburton and KBR where he held
various senior level engineering and management positions.
Dr. Tenende is very active in civic and community affairs. He is a member of the City of Houston Mayor’s International
Trade and Development Council for Africa (MITDC); Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Diaspora Council of
Tanzanians in America (DICOTA); member of the Board of Directors of Solar Hope – a nonprofit organization whose
objectives is to install solar panels for schools and clinics in remote areas of Tanzania. Member of the Board of Directors of
Sudan Institute of Research and Policy (SIRP).
Dr. Tenende received a B.Sc. (Engineering) from the University of Dar-es-Salaam – Tanzania, Master of Engineering from
the University of Toronto – Canada, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Tenende
resides in Houston, Texas with his family.
