Beats by Dre - an iconic technology
brand that brought us the most
desired headphones and
music electronics today.
Beats controls some 70% of the
headphones market, thanks to
lightning-fast marketing and a smart
grasp of pop culture.
This project presents ideas for
social media
activations on Twitter
and Vine for Beats by Dre targeting the
Millennial population segment.

This idea is all about self-expression through art, music and design. It will create sharable moments by utilizing the power
of live activation and two influencers.
Team up with Kehinde Wiley - a New York-based portrait
painter, who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of
urban youth in heroic poses.
Beats by Dre will commission a painting of a person wearing
Beats headphones. The painting will be finished up in a
prominent outdoor location in NYC where people could be a
part of the creative process.
The session will end in a pop-up surprise performance from
Pharrell Williams
The event will be amplified on Twitter (paid and organic
media), pre and post event via Wiley’s and Pharrell’s accounts
and through @beatsbydre

Giant Beats headphones will be located in the 5 major city squares (where there is no traffic allowed).
People will be able to plug into the giant Beats and listen to
music. Different plugs will play different types of music
The activation will provide an opportunity for people to take
photos and post them with a hashtag #MegaBeats
The campaign will be promoted on Twitter, but UGC will be
encouraged on IG and FB

Twitter takeover with major fitness gurus will remind people that Beats should also be a part of your active lifestyle.
Team up with 15-20 different fitness influencers on Twitter
(with a number of followers from 5K-100K)
Influencers may include: @TaraStiles, @TrinkFitness,
@JohnRomaniello, @SteveKamb, @tomvenuto,
@HannahBronfman, @TracyAnderson
Ask influencers to Tweet out an image of them with Beats
headphones shot on a beats back drop at the same time
(Beat Fit Take Over)
Promote all Tweets from influencers and from @beatsbydre

Beats has a wide product range from more affordable headphones and speakers to luxury equipment. This vine will
attempt to bring the experience of luxury golden top notch performance headphones to Vine
We will create a vine story that will evoke the rich sound
experience these luxury headphones
For the visual treatment we will do luxurious, dark close up
shots of the headphones showcasing the craftsmanship and
quality
The soundtrack music will be Big Sean - Blessings ft. Drake,
Kanye West
The post has a clear call-to-action to see more of the
#GoldenDreams campaign on our brand website
We will promote this idea across other Beats social media
properties (TW, FB, IG)

Social Media Campaign Ideas for Beats by Dre Targeting Millennials

  • 2. 2 Beats by Dre - an iconic technology brand that brought us the most desired headphones and music electronics today. Beats controls some 70% of the headphones market, thanks to lightning-fast marketing and a smart grasp of pop culture. This project presents ideas for social media activations on Twitter and Vine for Beats by Dre targeting the Millennial population segment.

  • 4. B E A T S E X P R E S S I O N S 4 This idea is all about self-expression through art, music and design. It will create sharable moments by utilizing the power of live activation and two influencers. Team up with Kehinde Wiley - a New York-based portrait painter, who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of urban youth in heroic poses. Beats by Dre will commission a painting of a person wearing Beats headphones. The painting will be finished up in a prominent outdoor location in NYC where people could be a part of the creative process. The session will end in a pop-up surprise performance from Pharrell Williams The event will be amplified on Twitter (paid and organic media), pre and post event via Wiley’s and Pharrell’s accounts and through @beatsbydre
  • 5. 5 Celebration - Madonna Celebration - Madonna Social media team @beatsbydre will monitor activity live and tweet out updates about the event They will also cover event awareness and engagement building across other support platforms: IG, FB. People will be able to plug into the giant Beats and listen to music. Different plugs will play different types of music The activation will provide an opportunity for people to take photos and post them with a hashtag #MegaBeats The campaign will be promoted on Twitter, but UGC will be encouraged on IG and FB

M E G A B E A T S 7 Celebration - Madonna Celebration - Madonna @beatsbydre will engage in conversation with other via Twitter pre-activation, during activation and post- activation to maximize the number of impressions and engagement @beatsbydre will tweet about a surprise coming to selected cities a week before the activation For 5 days people will be able to take photos and listen to music through the giant headphones Mention us in a Tweet photo of you and the mega beats for a chance to be featured #MegaBeats Giant headphones just landed in the middle of Chicago’s Cloud Gate #MegaBeats Look what just landed on Price St. in NYC #MegaBeats
  • 8. B E A T F I T 8 Twitter takeover with major fitness gurus will remind people that Beats should also be a part of your active lifestyle. Team up with 15-20 different fitness influencers on Twitter (with a number of followers from 5K-100K) Influencers may include: @TaraStiles, @TrinkFitness, @JohnRomaniello, @SteveKamb, @tomvenuto, @HannahBronfman, @TracyAnderson Ask influencers to Tweet out an image of them with Beats headphones shot on a beats back drop at the same time (Beat Fit Take Over) Promote all Tweets from influencers and from @beatsbydre
  • 9. 9 Celebration - Madonna Celebration - Madonna Influencers, such as Tracy Anderson will Tweet out 5-10 tweets on behalf of Beats to help amplify the message Sponsored tweets feature influencers wearing beats. Call to action in the tweet will direct users to a microsite where they can see short workout videos from the trainers and brows Spotify playlists selected by the trainers. The microsite will have a direct link to buy product. This vine will attempt to bring the experience of luxury golden top notch performance headphones to Vine We will create a vine story that will evoke the rich sound experience these luxury headphones For the visual treatment we will do luxurious, dark close up shots of the headphones showcasing the craftsmanship and quality The soundtrack music will be Big Sean - Blessings ft. Drake, Kanye West The post has a clear call-to-action to see more of the #GoldenDreams campaign on our brand website We will promote this idea across other Beats social media properties (TW, FB, IG)
