3. Masters in Art Therapy
Masters degree is required to work as a clinical art
therapist.
AATA approved graduate programs
60 credit program requirements to graduate meets all
educational requirements for licensure as a
professional counselor in the State of CT. and is
approved by the Education Program Approval Board
(EPAB) of AATA. Graduates are ready to sit for LPC
exams
This strong course of study provides Art Therapy
Program graduates the opportunity to sit for the LPC
exam and qualify for licensing as a professional
counselor in CT.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION
OF APPLICATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited
college or university
2.8 GPA (minimum)
18 credits in studio art (drawing, painting,
ceramics/sculpture)
15 credits in psychology (developmental,
abnormal, statistics)
Proficiency in English- TOEFL score
minimum of 94/120
Admission is competitive – meeting these
requirements does not guarantee admission
