  2. 2. VISIONS, STRATEGIES, OUTCOMES VISION By the end of the research, year 1 pupils will be able to improve their writing in single line exercise books. STRATEGIES - Incorporate the use of three-lined book / module during lessons. - Direct feedback on pupil’s way of writing letters. - Show the pupils the examples of tall, short and tail letters. - Remind the pupils of the tall, short, and tail letters. - Compare the differences between 3 lined books and 1 line books and implement the writing correctly. - Introducing imaginary lines on the white board and in their exercise books. POSSIBLE OUTCOMES - Pupil’s penmanship is clearer, neater and more visible to read. - Pupils are able to write neatly and independently without being frequently reminded.

YES! TEACHING THE USE OF THREE-LINE BOOK AND IMAGINARY LINES WAS A VERY EFFECTIVE WAY OF IMROVING YEAR 1 PUPIL’S WRITING OF TALL, SMALL AND TAIL LETTERS AND GENERAL PENMANSHIP IN SIMPLE WORDS WHILE USING SINGLE LINE BOOK
