TRANSPORT
Airport Bratislava was opened in 1951 and it´s the largest airport in
Slovakia. It has 3 terminals and handles about 1,5 milion
passengers per year. It is situated only 20 minutes from the centre of
Bratislava and you can travel to Liverpool, Barcelona, Brusel,... from
it.
INTERNATIONAL JUNCTIONS:
• the D1 motorway (Bratislava to Trnava, Nitra, Trencin)
• the D2 motorway (connects to Prague, Brno, Budapest)
• the A6 motorway to Vienna
BRIDGES OVER THE DANUBE:
• Lafranconi Bridge, New Bridge, Old bridge, Bridge Apollo and Port
bridge.
TRANSPORT
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
• three types of vehicles (1. buses - 60 daily routes, 20 nightly
routes; 2. trams – 13 heavily-used commuter routes; 3. Trolleybuses
– 13 main routes)
WATER TRANSPORT:
Is secured through a port on the Danube from both sides, from the
Black Sea is connected by channel Rhine Main Danube to the North
Sea. Personal transport use port mainly for trip and recreation
cruises to Gabcikovo watterwork, to Devin castle, cruises the city of
Bratislava and also to near Vienna and Budapest.

• 1783 - all central authorities transfered to Buda- coronation jewels
were taken to Vienna
• 1805 - Peace of Pressburg was concluded between France and
Austria in the Primate’s palace
• 1908 - BA was besieged by Napoleon army
• 1811 - Bratislava Castle burnt down
• 1818 - first steam boat sailed on the Danube River

BRATISLAVA CASTLE
• the massive rectangular building with four corner towers stands
on an isolated rocky hill of the Little Carpathians directly above
the Danube river in the middle of Bratislava

• is a memorial monument and military cemetery
• it is the burial ground of thousands of Soviet Army soldiers who

Therese and her spouse were crowned here, a fact celebrated by

The ZOO is really nice and interesting because of diffrent kinds of
animals. In fact there are182 kinds of animals. It´s home of unusual
animal called lion southafrican, which has white fur. There are many
things to do.You can sit in the park, ride a horse etc. But there is one
special part of ZOO. It´s DiNOPARK You can find there all dinosaurs
which had ever lived.The most famous are tryceraptos,T-Rex.
Visiting of ZOO is really good choice to spend day and relax.

It´s home of unusual animal called lion southafrican, which has white fur. There are many things to do.You can sit in the park, ride a horse etc. But there is one special part of ZOO. It´s DiNOPARK You can find there all dinosaurs which had ever lived.The most famous are tryceraptos,T-Rex. Visiting of ZOO is really good choice to spend day and relax.
