All Activate Learning centres have been established colleges since the 1960s. There are
campuses in Oxford City Centre and the surrounding Cherwell Valley (Banbury, Bicester, and
Blackbird Leys), as well as in Reading, giving students an unrivalled choice across the South-East
England.
Location
Our students benefit from excellent train and bus connections as well as the road network.
Both main centres are located within easy reach of London, Heathrow and the coast. By train,
Reading is just 30 minutes from London and Oxford is less than one hour!
Convenient locations
All of our campuses are easy to find and well-placed. Our Oxford City Centre and Banbury
campuses are within walking distance of their historic centres - wonderful places to enjoy a wide

State-of-the-art facilities
Our students learn in real-life environments. Our hair & beauty and hospitality & catering students
train in our own salons and restaurants. They are very popular with the local public, other students
and staff, who receive first class service from our students at discount prices. We have our own
industry standard purpose-built workshops for Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Joinery, Plumbing,
Furniture-making etc. Our fashion students have their own fashion workshops, performing artists
their own theatres, media students their own media studios, design students their own graphic
design studios - and the list goes on!
Cafés and restaurants
Students, staff and visitors never need to leave the campus for food and drink during term-time as
we have cafés and restaurants on all of our campuses open all day and into the evening. They offer
a range of snacks, sandwiches and a weekly changing menu of delicious meals. We have shops on
the main campuses where you can buy snacks, drinks, and confectionery as well as other items.
Support
Specialist support is in place at every stage to ensure each student makes the most of their time at
the Activate Learning colleges. Our dedicated teaching and support staff have been carefully
selected for their expertise and their years of experience in their field.
Every overseas student is given additional English language support free as part of their
programme.
