Rationale: 100 words approx.
Throughout this year I have picked up many editing skills, as well ashow to create a
smooth and appealing video. I will put these to use in my documentary to create a smooth
flow to the video without making it look cheap or jarring. This will create and ease of
viewing experience for the viewers and make the overall video look more respectable and
professional. I will also use previous skills that I have picked up such as an hour service
and my eagerness to talk to people to create engaging interviews and build relationships
with the interviewee
Project Concept: 200 words approx.
for my project I will be posing the question "do video games cause violence? "I will put this
question to a variety of people, ranging from industry professionals to the average person
on the street.
I will present my audience with factual information and both sides of an argument. I will
show real statistics from a variety of sources to present realistic information and opinions
as well asclips of gameplay to show both sides of the gaming spectrum
the goal of this project is to allow viewersto make their own opinion on the topic and for
them to be able to make that decision using the statistics facts and opinions provided to
them throughout the course of the video. I want them to look at both sides of gaming,
ranging from narrative story games such as firewatch tower hard-core action games like
the last of us and then present them with the facts and statistics
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed: 50 words approx.
Properly evaluate my work I will be using daily and weekly reflections as well as peer marking.
everything will be posted on my blog as it is completed to allow marking from David to get my final
grade
