1. Position: Support Services Coordinator
Purpose: To provide; 1. Human resource support to
directors and supervisors for employee onboarding and
termination. 2. Technical assistance and data management
with online systems. 3. Program volunteer and service
group coordination.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of one year experience in the field. Must have
strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, organized, be able to supervise a large population of
Volunteers, and work effectively both independently and as a member of an integrated team.
Experience creating marketing materials, public speaking, and online training/scheduling/data
systems. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an ability to work with people from diverse
cultural backgrounds, maintain confidentiality, engage in respectful and collaborative problem
solving, and present with professional appearance appropriate to the position. All Jackson
Street Employees must pass criminal history check and DMV check and be willing to work
flexible hours. Must have a commitment to Jackson Street Youth Services’ mission and values.
Specific Duties:
Volunteer Coordination-
Steers recruitment efforts when new Volunteers are needed, with support from
Administrative and Program staff
Screen and orient new Volunteers
Collaborates with, and helps each Volunteer identify the opportunity that best fits that
person and needs of the organization
Completes documentation for each volunteer, tracks and reports statistics as required
Maintains the volunteer database, ensuring all volunteers are on the organizational
mailing list
Ensures connection and relationship between Program Staff and Volunteers is positive
and beneficial
Conducts regular check-ins, evaluation, and closure of volunteers
Plans and coordinates recognition of volunteers both individually and organizationally,
thanking them often
Oversees volunteer Service Groups at various Jackson Street sites in collaboration with
Site Supervisors, Program Coordinators, and the facilities committee
2. Maintains volunteer handbook and procedure manual
Works with Development Manager to best serve non-program volunteers (BOD,
Ambassadors)
Human Resource Support-
Facilitate general organizational overview
Assist with onboarding of new employees (workspace, phone, computer, keys, planner,
badge, business cards, network login, online system logins, etc.)
Assist with hiring and termination processes
Assist with interviews (note taking, provide paperwork), if needed
Maintain employee phone list
Maintain organizational job descriptions and website for hiring
Provide technical assistance for training and schedule online systems, use of network
drive and phone system
Complete two-year and position change background checks
Coordinate training opportunities and maintain training completion of employees
Data Systems-
Support Program Director for pulling data for reports and help streamline reporting
tools
Support and improve data reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Work and contribute as a team member is the design of improvements for existing
reports and data entry
General-
Attends required meetings and trainings
Act as a spokesperson and advocate for RHY and the organization
Maintain an understanding of organizational programs and needs
Support Services Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director
