ARTS has been chairing the new HR
Work Group at the LRT, the skill
centre for Civil and Aerospace
Engineering Saxony/Thuringia e.V
since the end of last year.
Human resources faces many challenges also in the civil and aerospace sector: Skills shortage, the
demographic change, increasing competition for qualified staff, higher demands of employees with
regard to their working life and the constantly changing technical world. With this newly created forum
the LRT, a network of companies and research institutes of the industry in Saxony and Thuringia, wants
to create a platform for information and exchange on current HR developments. The work group will
meet five times per year and discuss various topics, the next meeting will be in February (26.02.2015) at
the Dresden based partner, IMA Materialforschung und Anwendungstechnik GmbH. The focus of the
start-up is on work health and safety: Mr Fred Bader, Branch Manager for TÜV Rheinland Group
Arbeitsmedizinische Dienste GmbH introduces health and safety reforms during an interactive
presentation. His colleague Dr. Vicky Hermet-Schleicher explains possible causes for mental illness in the
workplace. Once the specialists have answered all the questions, the co-host IMA will finally report from
the field and show which measures the company takes in order to adhere to health and safety
regulations.
ARTS has been involved with LRT since 2010. Nina Simmons, Senior HR Consultant at ARTS, organizes
and hosts the event series and is available as an expert contact for all HR matters.
