Meet your Valentine while you shop

2. Introduction
BeaconBabe is an iBeacon Matching
app that bring two people together
while they shop
Shopping should be fun, people love discount.
BeaconBabe guides two potential candidates to meet
each other in the shop.
When they buy the same item together, they will have
the special discount.

1. User installs the
BeaconBabe App
2. Type in his/her name, age,
gender,…

A) enters the shop

his/her present (Door

When User A pass the Hidden
iBeacon
1. Send him/her a promotion
item notification
2. User A can click it if he/she is
interested in that item.
(Assume User A is interested in item
XYZ.)

enters the shop

When User B pass the Hidden

1. Send him/her a promotion

2. User B can click which items
he/she is interested in that

10. The flow
Server is now have two Users that are
both interested in the promotion
item.
1. Server will run the matching
algorithm.
2. If User A and B match, server will
send a notification to User A and
also to User B. The notification
says if he/she goes to the XYZ
shelf at that time, they will get
certain discount.
(Note: User A and B will use polling in
our project)

11. The flow
When User A and User B arrive the XYZ
shelf at that time
1. Server will send User A a QR code
and server will also send User B
another QR code.
2. If they both buy the XYZ item and
show their QR codes at the
cashier, they will receive the
discount.
(Note: User A and B will use polling in
our project)

12. Hardware Detail: RSSI
RSSI is the reliable data
From our experiment
Really close, RSSI is -50dBm
1m, RSSI is -67dBm
2-3m, RSSI is about -70dBm
Not signal, RSSI is 0dBm
We define -65dBm as the boundary.
