5. Role Play
Situation
You and another intern are supposed to share the workload equally, but that is
not the case. Your colleague is lazy and does not do her tasks properly. She
comes in late and leaves work early a couple of days every week. She gets angry
with you when you bring up that it stresses you out.
During the internship, you have become good friends but you are the one doing
most of the work.If the work does not get done, it will look bad for both of you.
How do you react?
- Do you take the fight, which might imply a complicated atmosphere at
work?
- Do speak to your manager about it and reveals what a bad co-worker you
have?
- Do you in silence take on more of your colleague’s workload and do parts of
her work?
