In the ancient years...
People used to fight. One of the most popular sports was wrestling. In
these pictures we can see how they were fighting. They started to learn
it since they had been kids and without any clothes.

2. People used to do horse riding or races with chariots. They did it
without clothes or with a white cloth and with something on their
head, to protect it.
People used to do weight lifting but in another way. They didn’t
have the equipment, let’s say, like we have today. They lifted two
heavy stones.

3. People used to do running races, without clothes and sometimes
they wore a helmet and held a shield. They ran all together and for
many kilometers.

4. People used to do discus throwing in a more difficult way than we
do, because they were throwing the discus without impetus. They
did it without clothes.
From these pictures, we can see that in the ancient years, only men
could do these sports. They usually did them without clothes and in a
more difficult way, so they had to be fit and strong. Some of these sports
are still played today in the Olympic Games and if they had lived until
today, they would probably take the gold medal!
