Network
At school, you will connect

Apple ID
For the district iPads, you will
create an Apple ID using
your district email.

7. Select your
birthdate.
This is used to help retrieve
your password if you
forget it.

8. Add Your Name
Enter your first and last
names using the keyboard.

9. Set Email
Choose Use your current
email address (which will be
your Farmington address)

10. Type Your Email
Enter your work email. This
will be your Apple ID.

11. Create a
Password.
Type your password. Do not
use your work password.

12. Create a
reminder
question and
answer.
Choose a question and type
your answer. This will help
you retrieve your password if
you forget it.

13. Choose Email
Updates
If you want to receive Apple
news and updates, leave
the Email Updates On.

14. Review the Terms
of Service
Click Agree after you have
looked at the Terms.

15. Choose Don’t Use
iCloud at this
time.
Later you can set up
iCloud which is a place
online to store
photos, calendars and
more.

Choose Back Up to My
Computer.

iPad
This will help locate a
lost iPad.

information to Apple.

20. Find the Serial Number
The district uses the Serial Number to help with organization
and support of district-owned iPads.

23. Set a Passcode
Since you will be connecting your district email and other
resources to the iPad, you must protect your data. The first
step is to set a Passcode.

passcode.
This passcode should NOT
be the same as your district
password or your Apple ID
password.

Erase Data
This will erase all data on the
iPad after 10 failed
passcode attempts. This is a
safety mechanism in case
the iPad is lost or stolen.

Confirm that you want to
Enable Erase Data.

This is the naming convention for all district-owned iPads.

iPad name
Your iPad name will be your
primary building – district
username in all caps.
