Transactional Analysis
ī‚— It’s a model of personality and the
dynamics of “self” and its
relationship with others.
ī‚— For this lets understand “EGO
STATES”
There are 3 different ego statesâ€Ļ
1. Parent
2. Adult
3. Child
Transactions...
Observe well-assimilated personality in
the movie by giving examples from the
movie.
ī‚— IQBALâ€Ļ(Self-Confidence, Honesty, Trust,
Hard-Worker, Motivated, Ambitious)
ī‚— Ex. He didn’t had
enough funds but
wanted to learn thus
hid behind buffaloes
to see the trainer
giving instructionsâ€Ļ
What are the negative and positive conditioning you
observed in the movieâ€Ļ??
Conditioning
Negative Positive
â€ĸUsually leads to
destruction.
â€ĸObserved in the
behavior of Iqbal’s
father.
â€ĸWe can observe it
in the way Iqbal’s
mother and Farida
dealt with him.
Which character in the movie you observed
that needs improvement in his/her
personality and how one can develop the
sameâ€Ļ.??
ī‚— “Anwar” needs improvement in his personality
because he thought that cricket is just a waste
of timeâ€Ļ.
ī‚— There is no hard-work involved
ī‚— He can change his mindset by looking the life
from a different perspective.
ī‚— He must become flexible in his thoughts so as to
understand others.
Talk about GOAL ACHIEVING skills
you observed in the movie.
ī‚— Life without goals leads to destruction.
ī‚— Set crystal clear goals
ī‚— Hard work-most
effective tool to success.
ī‚— Never lose heart
ī‚— Not to take shortcuts
ī‚— Avoid those who demotivate you
ī‚— Don’t depend on luck.
Talk about the better time manager in
the movie. What sort of Time
Management Skills he/she was
optingâ€Ļ??
ī‚— I observed IQBAL to be better time manager
in the society.
ī‚— He wakes up as soon as his father leaves for
fields and completes all his chores, goes for
training and finally returns back before his
father come back from fields.
Discuss leadership qualities in the
movie.
The leadership qualities which I observed are:
ī‚— Setting Objectives
ī‚— Enthusiasm
ī‚— Ambition
ī‚— Honesty
ī‚— Decision Making
ī‚— Technical and Motivating Skills
How can you develop the sameâ€Ļ??
ī‚— Developing qualities is never a hectic task if
we wish toâ€Ļ
ī‚— By trying to participate in activities more
oftenly.
ī‚— By trying to compare your qualities with those
of great leaders in a way to improve it.
ī‚— Taking initiatives
ī‚— Finally setting crystal clear goals.
During your class activity do you find
any leader, what sort of leadership
qualities you observedâ€Ļ??
ī‚— During our class activity I saw many of them
as a keen leaderâ€Ļ.I was also one of them .But
I would like to talk about one of my classmate
Nehaâ€Ļ
ī‚— I found her to be a good leader as she could
maintain a good relation with everyone of usâ€Ļ
Nehaâ€Ļ
ī‚— Nextly she’s always encouragingâ€Ļgood
communication skills which can help her to
properly make her team mates understand her
thoughts.
ī‚— And lastly, takes everyone’s point of view
which is the best thing I have found in her
although I had never been with her in a group.
What sort of EGO STATES you
observed in the movieâ€Ļ??
ī‚— Anwar
Usually operates from Parent ego stateâ€Ļbut can
also be seen to be operating from Adult ego
state when goes to meet his son before match .
ī‚— Farida
Operates from Adult and child ego stateâ€Ļwhen
comes to his brother’s career she operates like
an adult.
But as such she is childish.
Whom do you think have an open self
Personality in the movie..??
Talk about his/her open self qualities.
ī‚— Iqbal is an excellent example of open-self
personality.
ī‚— Interaction cannot be
necessarily with the
words...its just that it
should be understood.
ī‚— Very clear goals
ī‚— Self-motivated
ī‚— And lastly he always
Smiled and continued achieving smaller
successes to attain his final goal.
Which factor you observed in the movie
which you think is responsible for
development of one’s personalityâ€Ļ??
ī‚— The most heart capturing wasâ€Ļ “Never Give
Up” Attitude.
ī‚— Also “Confidence” played a vital role.
ī‚— I agree confidence can take us a long way but
we should not rely on it and make an excuse to
procrastinate on preparation.
ī‚— And lastly his “Courage” to fight against all
oddsâ€Ļ
Make a positive action plan for
continuous enhancement in your
personality
ī‚— Creating a never losing attitudeâ€Ļ
“If u can’t fly, then run,
If u can’t run, then walk,
If u can’t walk, then crawl,
But whatever u do...
U have to keep moving forward.”

ī‚— To evaluate our own Time Management style, it
needs a lot of research, self-reflection &
honesty.
ī‚— I am a good time manager but still I lack in
some things...
ī‚— I always live upto my commitments which is
the best thing but I need to plan precisely.
ī‚— Thus I am trying to plan time effectively to
make it an important asset for meâ€Ļ
What sort of future job you want to
opt and the time managing skills for
that.
ī‚— Aviation & Hospitality Sector

Give Extempore Presentation on moral
values. It can be from Panchtantra
story, Movies or any Personal
experience of an individual.
Extempore
Good Morning Respected Faculty and my
dear classmates...
In today’s world where everyone is trying
to follow western world it is really
difficult to hold back the moral
values..But we all can always inculcate
good things from western culture and
also remembering our moral values so as
to become the best of all...So lets go
through a Panchtantra story to actually
remind ourselves with the values we are
actually forgetting.
Panchtantra Story...
Once upon a time, there was an old thin
donkey who used to carry clothes and
other burdens for his master. At night
he was free to wander as he liked.
One night, he met a jackal and they
both went out in search of food. They
found a garden filled with cucumbers
and helped themselves to a delicious
meal. After that they returned every
night to the garden to eat cucumbers.
And so the donkey started looking
healthy and fat.
One night, after a particularly tasty meal,
the donkey was overwhelmed with
happiness and he told the jackal he
wanted to sing a song. The jackal
immediately told him not to do any such
thing! He warned the donkey that they
were thieves so it was not a good idea to
make noise and attract the farmers
attention. If they were caught, they would
be beaten.
But the donkey instead started on singing.
The jackal told the donkey that his voice
was not sweet. The donkey was upset and
thought that the jackal was jealous of him.
The jackal warned the donkey again that if
he did sing, the farmers would come and
Continued...
But the donkey started singing, and the
jackal decided to wait outside the garden.
When the farmers heard the donkey
braying, they rushed out to beat him. The
donkey fell down and the farmers tied a
heavy stone around his neck.
Somehow the donkey dragged himself out
to the waiting jackal. The jackal
congratulated him on his reward. The
donkey realized his mistake and
apologized to the jackal for not listening
to the good advice.
MORAL : He who has no wits of his own
or does not heed advice of good friends,
perishes like the donkey

What are the Barriers to Effective
Communication..?How can you remove
the same...??
Usually there are three major barriers
in communication.
1. Personal (includes moods, prejudices,
non-decision makers)
2. Physical(includes faulty equipments,
partitions, distance)
3. Semantic(includes basic language)
Communication Cycle
To Overcome the barriers to
Effective Communication
ī‚— Use of Simple Language
ī‚— Reduction and elimination of noise
levels
ī‚— Active Listening
ī‚— Emotional State or Gestures
ī‚— Simple Organizational Structure
ī‚— Avoid information overload
ī‚— Give Constructive feedback
If you want to improve somebody’s
Communication whom you will do and
how you can do.
ī‚— I would like to improve Bhargav’s and
Vijay’s communication because they
both are very passionate towards
language and thrusts to learn it.
ī‚— They are such persons full of passion
and complete dedication...so I would
like to suggest some of the techniques.
1. Understand the basics of
communication not of English...this
will lead you to communicate well
2. Engage your audience
3. Use yours words wisely
4. Stay in touch with language through-
out and I am sure you will speak very
well..
Continued...
Talk about the moral values which the
learner has adapted from their
parents and how it is going to help
them in future..??
There are
many moral
values which
we learn but
the most
heart
capturing is
this one...
Write and Speak Extempore on
Welcome Speech of any Airline you
want to work with.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Qatar Airways

chief attendant. On behalf of Captain and
the entire crew, “Welcome Aboard”.

minutes. We will be flying at the altitude of
22,032 feet at a ground speed of 401 knots.
At this time, make sure your seat backs and

Continued...
I’d like direct your attention to the
television monitors as we will be showing

complete attention.
When the seat belt sign illuminates, you
must fasten your seat belt. A life vest is
located in a pouch under your seat or
between the armrests.

seat belt sign is off.
Continued...
We remind you that this is a non-smoking

suggest you read it before take-off. If
you have any questions please don’t
hesitate to ask to the crew members.
“We wish you all an enjoyable flight.”
What sort of help you are looking
from your Faculty regarding your
communication & what action plan you
would have to follow..??
ī‚— Firstly I would like to thank my
faculties for holding my hand and
making me climb the unseen path.
ī‚— I would like to seek help from my
faculty to become a good person and
perfect time manager of all time, by
guiding me in the following
parameters...
Continued...
ī‚— Prioritizing and Organizing (Things
which I have to accomplish on daily
basis)
ī‚— Streamlining(Things I don’t like to do,
but have to do)
ī‚— Economizing(Things I like to do but
may be are not important)
ī‚— Contributing(Finally taking care of
those small things which make a BIG
Difference)
What sort of moral values you are
lacking and how you can develop the
same...??
Moral values change as per the needs
of society. But the human nature has
not changed for generations. That is
why it looks as moral values are lacking
these days.
Moral values are important for those
who are honest, believes in ethics,
punctual.
Continued...
The moral values which are lacking are:
ī‚— I will try to work upon my temper...they
say every thing can fall flat if you don’t
control your temper.
ī‚— Also, I will try not to show I am weak
under some situation.(I usually tend to
cry whenever I am guilty or any things
forced upon me...no doubt I am strong
from inside but that’s natural)
ī‚— Being more useful to others...by doing
social service.

  • 21. Transactional Analysis ī‚— It’s a model of personality and the dynamics of “self” and its relationship with others. ī‚— For this lets understand “EGO STATES” There are 3 different ego statesâ€Ļ 1. Parent 2. Adult 3. Child
  • 22.
  • 24. Observe well-assimilated personality in the movie by giving examples from the movie. ī‚— IQBALâ€Ļ(Self-Confidence, Honesty, Trust, Hard-Worker, Motivated, Ambitious) ī‚— Ex. He didn’t had enough funds but wanted to learn thus hid behind buffaloes to see the trainer giving instructionsâ€Ļ
  • 25. What are the negative and positive conditioning you observed in the movieâ€Ļ?? Conditioning Negative Positive â€ĸUsually leads to destruction. â€ĸObserved in the behavior of Iqbal’s father. â€ĸWe can observe it in the way Iqbal’s mother and Farida dealt with him.
  • 26. Which character in the movie you observed that needs improvement in his/her personality and how one can develop the sameâ€Ļ.?? ī‚— “Anwar” needs improvement in his personality because he thought that cricket is just a waste of timeâ€Ļ. ī‚— There is no hard-work involved ī‚— He can change his mindset by looking the life from a different perspective. ī‚— He must become flexible in his thoughts so as to understand others.

  • 32. Nehaâ€Ļ ī‚— Nextly she’s always encouragingâ€Ļgood communication skills which can help her to properly make her team mates understand her thoughts. ī‚— And lastly, takes everyone’s point of view which is the best thing I have found in her although I had never been with her in a group.

What sort of EGO STATES you observed in the movieâ€Ļ?? ī‚— Anwar Usually operates from Parent ego stateâ€Ļbut can also be seen to be operating from Adult ego state when goes to meet his son before match . ī‚— Farida Operates from Adult and child ego stateâ€Ļwhen comes to his brother’s career she operates like an adult. But as such she is childish.

  • 35. Which factor you observed in the movie which you think is responsible for development of one’s personalityâ€Ļ?? ī‚— The most heart capturing wasâ€Ļ “Never Give Up” Attitude. ī‚— Also “Confidence” played a vital role. ī‚— I agree confidence can take us a long way but we should not rely on it and make an excuse to procrastinate on preparation. ī‚— And lastly his “Courage” to fight against all oddsâ€Ļ

  • 39. Evaluate your own Time Management Style. ī‚— To evaluate our own Time Management style, it needs a lot of research, self-reflection & honesty. ī‚— I am a good time manager but still I lack in some things... ī‚— I always live upto my commitments which is the best thing but I need to plan precisely. ī‚— Thus I am trying to plan time effectively to make it an important asset for meâ€Ļ
