and carbondioxide from cells to lungs
• Transport nutrients like glucose
• Transport waste from cells to organs that eliminate
them
• Contains cell that fight infection and defend against
foreign bodies
• Maintains ph level and ionic concentration of fluids
in the body
• Helps to maintain body temperature
