Structural adaptation
Their hooked bill is dark and their legs are
a creamy colour with long black talons
with tiny spikes in the soles of their feet.
Their legs are used to help them gasp
slippery aquatic animals such as
fish, turtles and sea snakes as their prey for
their food.
3. Eucalyptus Tree
Behavioural adaptation
The leaves on the tree have a thick waxy
cuticle that reduces water loss.
It helps it to survive as the trees are usually
planted where there is little water. This
helps the eucalyptus trees to keep
moist, stay alive and grow.
