2. About Vera Raposo
I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 20 (1995),
from owning 5 retail stores to discovering the beauty of
the internet in 2004. I sold/closed all 5 locations and
moved my biz completely online in 2007.
My life and biz was completely overhauled when my
daughter was diagnosed with cancer. After her 2 ½ year
battle (you can read more about it here) I sold my online
biz.
I then spent a couple of years with God, thinking,
praying and just being with Him and discovering who I am and what I
need to do in this world.
YourCreativeBiz.com was launched October 2012 with the goal to
discover the life and business of my own dreams. I hope to inspire many
women to do the same.
My motto in life is, “Life is good! Best wearing flip flops and living my
life for others.”
Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain
of what we do not see.

Lynn, I feel like we’re playing “ping pong” except it with our thoughts and
words (lol!)
This morning I woke up and went to White Rock Beach to watch the
sunrise. While I was there I met a police officer that was walking the pier,
he was telling me about this man that was there with him the other day
and how he had a top of the line telescope!!!
I told him that I sooo need to add that to my wish list here!
He said he was able to look through and actually saw Saturn and the
rings around it. He explained different stars that he saw and said it was
an amazing experience.
I hope I bump into the guy with that telescope one day!
When Lynn came here to visit and I met up with her, Alice and Tawnya,
she went out to White Rock with Tawnya and actually jumped in a small
plane and flew over it.
I forgot about that until Lynn posted about it on Facebook this morning…

5. Here are the most amazing pictures she shared with me… as I type this
out I get emotional thinking about how this is all working together, even
the police officer just telling me about the telescope was amazing! If I had
stayed home in bed I never would have had that experience.

8. I don’t know if I’ll ever do this, I can tell you that I think it’s totally
awesome that Lynn did this herself.
Here’s the thing, I completely forgot about she flew over White Rock,
BC (a beach I grew up on) until she posted on Facebook this morning.
She’s quite the adventure seeker herself, how fun to share this with you
today.
Let’s Get Started Into The Guts
We’re getting into the guts of putting this together now which is super

9. fun. I can see the difference of my About page for this new site and
adventure versus my “cooking” niche that I almost picked.
(still shaking my head over that one)
Now I could run ahead like a wild woman and start getting a bunch of
things done for this blog but I’m choosing to take the steps Lynn is asking
of me so you can see how YOU can do this too and easily follow along.
Plus, this is what my new blog FaithAdventurist.com is about…. taking it
easy on myself for once.
did you see that? The site is live!
Yep, we are action takers
First I Had Some “Name” Fails
I couldn’t sign up to Twitter or Facebook with “Faith Adventurist” so for
twitter I used “faithadventrist” and Facebook I used “The Faith
Adventurist.”
I could always purchase the domain names for each account, which is
probably best anyhow, what do you think about this branding / name
fail?
Normally because I love the name so much, I choose to use the quirky
ones over on the sites and then purchase the domains for them. I
wouldn’t want to rename the whole thing.

11. I currently have my mailing list inside IContact.com — I have a decent list
that I don’t want to lose. I’ve thought about encouraging them to come
over to Aweber to join a list there so I can utilize the functions over there
… mainly the RSS blog feature. You obviously recommend Aweber which
is an awesome place to house your subscribers, what do you think about
this?
