This long jump shoe was custom designed for
Madelayne who is the UO track and field athlete.
Simple design minimized the air drag, smooth
surface keeps the sand out of the shoe, and single
layer design allows athlete to put on and off easily.
The perfect fit allowed athlete to compete others
on track with use full power and confidence.

The LEDisc is a new LED fixture design for com-
mercial and office space. Single disc design allows
people use one hand to change the broken LED in
a big housing. Two metal pins on two side provide
supporting and electricity. One magnet could hold
the led in place. It is a simple modern lighting de-

This is "ChanDou", a new kitchen tool set, which
means a shovel and a funnel together. You can use
it for multiple purposes, drain off the water from
vegetable, transfer the food from cutting board to
the pot or you can use it to clean up the messy flat
surface. Bamboo material has the advantages of
light weight, econ-friendly, water proof and heat
proof. Simple shape can be cleaned easily and
quickly.

We used the Sand-casting method to produce a
quantity of different kitchen objects. This products

This is “Arc-en-Ciel”(Rainbow), a LED table lamp
that was created by folding a piece of paper, then
glued two individual LED strip on the two ends. It al-
lows you to shape in different forms and will be suit-

lamp. It includes a manual instruction, power adapt-
er and the LED lamp itself. This LED lamp is very
environmentally friendly which can be recycled. It
will be a outstanding furniture to have it in a home.

The “First Pen” was my first design by the Solid-
works and was my first 3-D printed object. It
include three different parts, a body, an end and a
metal cap. The cap is attached to the body where
it is convenient for people who lose their cap
occasionally. The cap can slide to the end after
removed from the tip of the pen. The metal cap is
a challenging step when manufacturing the whole
pen, that is why the concept of my “First Pen“ is
only a prototype.

“The Wave” tape dispenser was inspired by navy
blue ocean tide in Bahamas. The impelling curvy
wave shape brings a more active display on the
table. The standardize tape can be changed from

A generous but light lounge chair. A flat plas-
tic sheet is sprung into a curve and fastened to
a solid wood frame, transforming it into an ele-
gant compound curve, giving it strength and flex-
ibility. The thin flexible upholstered back adjusts
conforms to the movement of the sitter providing
extra comfort. As a intern at Studio Gorm, I most-
ly worked on the CNC mould making, back plate
cutting, testing and the most of sanding works.
